Work & Play
Aberdeen is a university town and with this comes a vibrant student population who insist on a lively nightlife. Dining out in this coastal city is a pleasure with fresh local seafood always on the menu. Later on you can enjoy live music at one of the city’s many stylish venues including Musa, Cellar 35 and The Tunnels.
The city’s pedigree as a centre of scholarship is long established. Until 1858 the city had two universities which is the same amount that catered for the whole of England at the time! With university status granted to Robert Gordon University in 1992 the city had two universities once again and it is a popular place to study with local and international students.
Scotland's Oldest University
The University of Aberdeen is Scotland’s third oldest university and is a great place to visit on your stay. There are two museums on campus, The King’s Museum and the Zoology Museum. The latter houses the only international scale exhibition of zoological specimens in the north of Scotland.
