It was close to a lot of things in walking distance. I wish it had a gift shop or a pantry to get snacks or drinks.

Attractive property close to the Vatican. Only disappointment was the included breakfast. But as always it’s the staff who create your experience and they couldn’t be better. Wonderful!

Me and my husband stayed there for 8 nights and loved every moment of it! The rooms are little but clean! Breakfast is absolutely delicious and convenient as all other restaurants around open later in the morning. If we are ever coming back to Rome we are definitely staying at this hotel!

Pocket Guide: Castel Sant'Angelo Castel Sant'Angelo Hotels

Italy may be home to many spectacular cities, but when it comes to holiday destinations that have it all, Rome is hard to beat. Not only is it a top spot for fine dining, luxury hotels, art galleries, nightlife and shopping, it’s also a city filled to the brim with history.

Explore the Rich History of Rome

Home to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, and countless Caravaggio-filled churches, Rome is a city where history is woven into every brick, paving stone and roof tile. For visitors coming to the city keen to brush up on their Roman history, it can be hard to know where to begin – but one fascinating spot to consider is Castel Sant’Angelo, also known as the Mausoleum of Hadrian.
