We like to maintain our kitchen, kitchen tiles and tile grout spotlessly clean for guests’s arrival and our housekeeping will make sure the cleaning is done regularly for long stays like yours, even though you hired a self-catering apartment. We stopped the use of a dishwasher when Cape Town was suffering from severe drought recently and we could no longer use the normal quota of water. But now that water supply is back to normal, we will provide dishwashing soap in the future.Please note that you hired a self-catering apartment, and we take note of your comments regardless. Concerning the fridge, all fridges in South Africa are now supplied with a door opening to the right only and we are unfortunately unable to change it without incurring potential damages. Should this change in the future, we will abide by your recommendation.Once again, thank you for your patronage. We wish you the very best in the future, and look forward to seeing you again.

We are very sad to hear Edward's comments. The apartment he refers to is not part of a hotel. Our check in staff reported to us that Edward did not like the building and did not want to stay in a self catering apartment. He told us that the building was smelly, and we have not been told that before as this building is well maintained and of a recent build. The building manager was present when Edward arrived and did not agree with the comments. Our guests normally like the apartment very much, which is nicely furnished, and well situated close to the Waterfront. We would require more details from Edward to explain to us the details of what was really wrong with the building in his view to give us the opportunity to remedy the problem , and the apartment, which is appropriately described in your reservation system. Edward was obviously upset that he did not get a refund immediately when he started to complain. In his case, as he blocked our inventory for 6 nights with his reservation, we would only be able to give a refund if we had been able to relet the apartment at short notice. We can see now that the last 2 nights were relet and can offer a refund for those 2 nights only. It is very sad indeed that a guest feels the need to give a bad review of a very nice apartment to sollicit a prompt refund. We sincerely hope that Edward found a suitable establishment to his liking in the end in order to enjoy his stay in Cape Town..
