"I found the hotel was very handy with the 24 hour desk especially as flight was delayed and missed the last train to Lucca and had to get a taxi. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and airy. Would highly recommend"

The property is reaslly nice with large spacious rooms. The hotel is located in a very peaceful remote location with stunning views. The pool was really nice, but could do with some heating and it would be nice if there was a small fitness centre on-site. There was a limited lunch menu based on being so remote. Dinner was great, but a very small restaurant. The couple managing the hotel were really friendly

Excellent hotel with excellent hosts who couldn't do enough for you. Room was cleaned daily with top ups of water, biscuits and toiletries. Breakfast was good with a great selection of pastries and eggs made to order. Ideally situated, 15 min walk from the train station and 7 min walk to the leaning tower. Excellent B & B

We visited the San Luca Palace in September. The rooms are magnificent. Clean and spacious. The hotel is very close to the town centre (about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo).
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and the staff calm and attentive.
There is also a very good restaurant about 3 doors down from the hotel.
Can’t recommend highly enough!

We stayed in room 9. We loved the unusual decor, cleanliness, the friendly staff, the good size of shower (not being the thinest of people), the air conditioning that worked really well, breakfast and the drinks and bits to eat in the basement dining room availability 24 hours per day. It also has a car park which was a worry if it did not have one.
The only issue we had was the place has no lift which meant we had to leave our large suitcase in the car.

My son and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night out the 3 on our visit to Tuscany as we were flying out of Pisa the following morning. The hotel has a good mix of old and new furnishings and décor. Fabulous bathrooms though a wee bit small. Just the right amount of choice at breakfast in a pleasant conservatory. Also a very spacious terrace for sitting out or relaxing on a sun lounger with a drink from the bar service at reception. Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would like to return in the...

When is the best time to go to Capannori?
The best time to visit Capannori is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months when the weather is pleasant and the Tuscan countryside is at its most appealing.
During spring, the landscape is lush and green, with wildflowers blooming. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the numerous villas and gardens around Capannori, such as Villa Torrigiani or Villa Mansi. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer season, allowing for a more relaxed experience.
Autumn offers similarly agreeable temperatures, usually between 15°C and 23°C. This period is particularly good for food and wine enthusiasts, as it coincides with the grape harvest and olive picking season. Many local festivals celebrate these traditions, offering opportunities to sample regional produce. The changing colours of the vineyards and hillsides provide a picturesque backdrop for leisurely drives or walks.
While summer (July and August) brings consistently warm and sunny weather, often exceeding 30°C, it's also the busiest time for tourism, meaning more crowds and higher prices. If you plan to visit during these months, consider focusing on activities that involve water or staying in accommodations with air conditioning and a pool.
