"Location central. Short walk to the Canterbury Cathedral , easy access to walk on the Wall close by that surrounds the old town.. Lots of shops and places to eat. The walk to the hotel was longer than anticipated but was much more pleasant on the way back to train station back to London being more relaxed knowing the route. Highly recommend visiting Canterbury. Recommend staying two days to see Canterbury."

"Great location - few minutes walk to Marlowe Theatre and short walk into city centre through a delightful park adjacent to the river. Convenient car park directly across road. Lots of other pubs and eateries nearby. We had a twin room overlooking the river weir, all you needed for a comfortable 2 night stay. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room with gorgeous home-made cookies as treats. Shampoo/conditioner, hand wash and hand cream supplied too. Beds were comfortable and a couple of pillows were supplied on each bed. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices, such as full cooked breakfast, eggs Benedict and pancakes. Evening meal was tasty and good value too. Cocktails were fantastic. The staff were excellent; customer care was above and beyond. Friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in. They really did seem to care that we enjoyed our stay and that we had all we needed. Would definitely recommend and return if we are ever in the area again."

"very nice house, quiet and clean. The staff is helpful and very friendly. A shower instead of the bathtub would have been perfect. I'd turn back there!"

"Good easy-to-find location, reasonably handy for city centre. Big comfortable room. Plenty of parking. Slightly over-priced continental breakfast (but aren't they always?) - but they bring you your tea / coffee rather than you having to do your own out of machines, which is always a big plus for me. Had a quick evening meal here one night - nothing special but OK, decent value and nicely delivered. Staff were always really helpful - occasionally slightly disorgansied/chaotic but no problem. Nice hotel, good experience. Thanks."

"We were lucky as my wife and I were given an upgrade to a spacious Family Room during our 2 night stay. Room was clean and staff were very helpful. Breakfasts and dinners were well cooked and generous. My wife thought the home-made steak and kidney pie was exceptional. Great advice to use the Park & Ride. Location was quiet and tranquil with accommodation located in separate building to the rear of the pub. Only minor maintenance issue I spotted was cracked tiles behind the bathroom door. Otherwise, everything was fabulous!"

"Nice old building which was very clean. Lots of stairs so not so good for people with mobility problems. We had a leak in the bathroom from old radiator and toilet and were given another room without any hassle. Freedom to come and go as we pleased. Also parking deal so we could leave the car knowing it was quite safe. Staff were all very pleasant. The bar was good, staffed by receptionist so no bustling room but quiet and restful. We have been to this hotel three times now and find it very good for a quiet weekend."
