Everything you can think of and more!
Through communications with the owner and photos of the property we knew we would not disappointed in this cottage. Must admit it took a few circuits of the surrounding streets as the hotel that was to be our landmark had changed hands and name but that will be updated by the time you read this.
The welcome basket was a lovely touch and all local and Scottish produce. The rooms are full of wonderful nicknacks that make this a home from home. There is a huuuuge Highland cow on the wall in the lounge diner and it is magnificent! Our granddaughter loved her cabin bed, in fact at times there was friction trying to get her out of it!
The kitchen! I can guarantee that there is not an item you have in your kitchen that you cannot find in this one. Stunning large 5-burner cooker and American style fridge freezer to name but a few, all spotlessly clean. The thing that blew my mind was an oyster shucker, and a wee plate to place the aforementioned newly shucked oysters on. I didn't avail myself of these but it never failed to make me smile each time I came across them. Please be careful of the extremely stable ironing board as I never did work out quite how to put it down, I didn't want to contact the owner as I would have died of embarrassment requiring someone to talk me through its closure. Amazing place with lots of lovely countryside, would definitely recommend and visit if we are in the area again
