Get the money? Make sure is registered as paid.
When I booked the room it was saying that there is available parking. But nowhere that I have to pay. Once arrived at the hotel they said that I have to pay for the parking £6 a night. As I was staying for two nights I had to pay £12. That completely fine but after 4 days I got myself a PCN for not paying the car park.

We were a family of 4 and we were all impressed with the hotel, loved everything about it and the staff are the best staff ever and every hotel would do well to have staff like this

The carpet was old and didn't sit flat on the floor. The bathroom was barely big enough to shut the door when entering, and the lighting in both the bathroom and bedroom was pre-WWII. The restaurant didn't exist, and while the view across the ocean was beautiful, hiking to the beach was long and arduous. It is not the fault of the hotel that a four day airshow shattered our eardrums; or that the loud and inebriated guests and staff were right under our window blowing cigarette smoke into the stuffy, non-ventilated room most nights, but the staff could have been more mindful of the problem. I do not recommend this hotel, or Bournemouth.

Nice hotel but a little tired.
Nice hotel but a little tired. Very few staff, but those we did have contact with were very helpful and extremely friendly. During our stay the Chef was sick so no meals other than breakfast available. In the two days we stayed we didn’t see the bar open at all. I understand that you had to request service from reception. Such a shame as the staff work extremely hard but there is just not enough of them

We had an excellent welcome and a comfortable room with everything needed. Parking was easy and we were happy to pay for that. Convenient buses. The weather was good too!

Short trip to Bournemouth
The positives: * Hotel is in a good location. close to the city centre. * Very quiet * Rooms were cleaned well * Staff was efficient when they could be found * Very soft and comfortable bath towels The negatives: * The hotel building is very old * The floor boards were squeaking with every step and I feared some could be rotten, * Bed mattresses were very hard and squeaky * Staff were not always available at reception when an issue would occur - we had a leak from the floor above us one night and I struggled a bit to find someone to address it.

Mattress was awful, room was small with a view on to grimy flat roof! shower water pressure poor! Had issues with tv told to wiggle aerial cable no other help! Not very helpful!

Dear Guest, You booked double standard room, and not the sea view. It is a standard size room.For the same price, other hotels offer a single room which is half or even a third in size of the one you stayed in. If you weren't happy with your room, you should have said something to a member of staff.We could have moved you to a different room.If you don't communicate with the staff about the potential issues, we are not able to help.

Very happy. Two nice rooms spotlessly clean with a lovely sea view. Staff were very helpful and the price was very good value for money. The buffet breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. Only stayed one night but would be happy to recommend this hotel. We were fine but maybe it would be difficult for the disabled as there are several steps to enter the hotel and to get down to the reasturant for breakfast.

On first impressions the external is very tired and rundown, the inside however is unique and quirky, like a boutique hotel is. It is clean and smells fresh. The room was a family partial sea view and had lots of storage and space around the beds. The bathroom was a good size. Only downfall was all the windows were very old and only 1 would open in the room and the bathroom one. Comfy, clean beds and clean soft towels. We all slept well and felt safe. Breakfast was good and enough choice for the day ahead. Parking on site is easy. An offer to help with luggage would have been welcomed as the lift was out of order and the hotel is a bit tired, however, we would stay here again. It was convenient to reach Bournemouth pier and only 10 mins from Southbourne which was lovely

Weekend stay
Used to be a great Hotel, no staff, no service, ie room service. The most basic of Hotels give you a choice of teas Coffee, Hot chocolate , biscuits in your room, but not The Cottonwood. No one to explain breakfast, lovely and clean , lovely towels , but you can’t really call this a Hotel anymore . Really a B&B. Such a shame

Beautiful, large room so close to the beach. We loved that our room had a beach view. It was modern and clean and check in was quick. Breakfast was a treat. We'd definitely stay here again if we get to come back to Bournemouth.

We were disappointed with our stay because the bar was closed as was the restaurant! We surely should have been informed before arrival as we would probably not have stayed! On the first morning breakfast was very mean with hardly any cooked items and very few pastries.
