Very comfortable hotel with great facilities
Room excellent, and as a business traveller the new self check in is so efficient ...it takes seconds. All facilities really good, quality of room of a high standard.
Staff interaction is lacking, although self checkin and out is very welcome and a real positive in terms of efficiency , this needs to be balanced by a warm welcome from staff. This did not happen on my last 2 stays , both at checkin and check out, there was only 1 member of staff on, and they were either absent from the desk or busy with someone else. I feel the Village are therefore missing vital feedback and interaction from their customers, there is a balance to strike in hospitality industry between self service efficiency and quick customer engagement. Had someone been available on my last 2 stays , I would have feedback that I had to request a kettle in my room, as it was missing.
