"Very disappointed with our stay. We discovered broken glass shards in the bathroom and around the room, resulting in both my 6 year old child and my husband standing on glass. We also had our 10 month old baby crawling around the room before we found the glass, making the situation extremely dangerous and upsetting. After inspecting the room further, we found more pieces of glass still left behind, clearly showing the room had not been cleaned or checked properly before our arrival. There was also a loose and uneven shelf under the bathroom mirror, which may have caused something to fall and smash previously. We stayed during one of the hottest weekends of the year. Although we knew the hotel had no air conditioning, the heating had been turned up to maximum when we arrived, making the room unbearably hot, especially with young children. The interaction with the bar staff was also disappointing. We politely asked for extra ice to help cool our children down, but the response was dismissive and rude, including comments questioning whether we had air conditioning at home. What made the experience worse was the hotel’s response to the broken glass. Very little sympathy or concern was shown, and we were asked if we had broken something ourselves. No meaningful apology, refund, or compensation was offered despite the seriousness of the issue. A hotel room should be clean, safe, and properly prepared for guests, especially families with young children. Unfortunately, this stay"

"I have stayed at the Wroxton on/off since 2017 for business purposes. Its now in need of some serious investment, everything from the carpets, furniture and bathrooms have remained unchanged since 17, only freshened up! the pluming and water temperature has a mind of its own, the window frames are rotten someone needs to look at room 4 before the whole window falls out. Its ok at a price, shadow of its former self."

"We stayed for one night in a suite booked through Expedia and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations, particularly given the price paid. We chose the suite because it was advertised as having a separate sitting area and complimentary WiFi. However, the room did not appear to have a genuinely separate seating area as described, and we were not provided with any WiFi information on arrival. There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues, including a broken and unstable table, an empty shower gel dispenser, an unpleasant odour coming from the bathroom, and a room telephone that did not work. We also attempted to contact room service at around 7pm and received no answer. The sofa bed was particularly disappointing. Our child, who normally sleeps very well, struggled to sleep on it and we did not feel it was suitable for use as a child's bed. The room was extremely hot on arrival, with the windows and curtains left open on one of the hottest days of the year. Despite putting the fans on immediately, it took a long time for the room to become comfortable. The hotel itself felt tired and dated in several areas and would benefit from refurbishment and improved maintenance. We were also disappointed by the breakfast arrangements. Information provided stated that weekday breakfast, including Mondays, was served from 7:00am. However, as it was a Bank Holiday Monday, breakfast did not start until 8:00am. "Stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and spacious. Good facilities in room but it was incredibly hot during our visit so a fridge in room would have improved our stay as no air conditioning but not many days in England you would need it. Breakfast was lovely, small but everything you could want. Evening menu was a bit limited and I probably would go somewhere else for an evening meal. The staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful."
