Dragonfly- Luxury Shepherds Hut in Stunning Meadow

Here at The Wildings, we offer a peaceful haven where you can slow down, relax, live simply and reconnect with loved ones in a beautiful, rural setting. We are a small, environmentally conscious, family run site that offers the comforts of home at your fingertips, and a base to explore beautiful Norfolk and Suffolk. Much of the site is left to rewild to maximise biodiversity. We'd be delighted to welcome you to The Wildings.

Dragonfly is an attractively furnished, well-insulated, cosy shepherd hut with made-up double bed. The hut has everything you need for a luxury glamping experience including gas hob, crockery, kettle, cutlery and cooking facilities.

Dragonfly is perfect for toasting marshmallows on a balmy summer evening or cosying up in bed with a book with the log fire on in the winter. We even provide electric heating and hot water bottles!

Some folk enjoy visiting for a romantic getaway or as part of a bigger group for a family celebration but we've also had creatives seeking some solace and quiet to work here. We've had lawyers, actors (script reading), writers and even a fabulous guest launching her own ethical clothing company!

The site is situated in a paddock in countryside close to Beccles and the Broads - guests have sole-use of their own toilet (with shower and washbasin) in a shower block close by, as well as a simply-equipped outside cooking area and access to a communal kitchette with toaster, microwave and larder fridge and freezer.

There is a small honesty shop on site selling wood for campfires and goodies like cookies and marshmallows.

There is a local pub within walking distance and plenty of other good pubs and restaurants in the area. Also, we are convenient for local wedding venues, fishing, golf, parachuting, flying, shopping, sea trips, horse riding, boating (can arrange hire), sailing, canoeing, cycling (can arrange cycle hire) and plenty of quiet back road and footpath walking. Taxi and other transport information (we are near two rail stations) is available on request.

There is free wifi, electric sockets (charging etc), secure parking, fire pit and information about the local area. Your hosts live close by and are available for advice or assistance if wanted, otherwise you are left to your own devices to enjoy your stay at The Wildings Elms Meadow.

NB. There are two well-spaced shepherd huts and a glamping pod on the site and, in season and located on another part of the site, four camping pitches . . .

Guests are welcome to walk in the grounds. There are lots of nooks for little ones to explore including a wooden playhouse! There is a deep pond nearby which is fenced. On request (depending on numbers staying), guests are welcome to leave their car on the site for a few hours following check-out.

Other things to note
NB. This is a no smoking site and, although dogs are welcome, they are by prior arrangement only, please, and must be kept on a lead at all times except in our lead-free exercise area.

Please be aware that we are located close to a wedding venue (including their in-house accommodation), and that the surrounding land in the immediate vicinity is privately owned although there are a number of public footpaths nearby.
