"Beautiful cottage with everything you would need within. Great views and walks. Whilst I fully understand need for different restrictions due to COVID we as a party found 19:00 hour check in and 09:00 checkout cut our 4 day break very short."

"This was the perfect place for a family get-together. All the bedrooms are lovely and the lounge/dining areas are perfect for such a large group. The property is extremely well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. Every room is perfectly and evenly heated in the colder weather and wood-burning stoves add a lovely focal point. The owner was friendly and helpful at all times."

"We had a great one week stay at Carisbrooke, Steve and Maureen were fabulous hosts. On arrival they had baked us bread, cake and a rhubarb crumble all very delicious plus they had left us some eggs from their allotment and homemade jam. "The property had loads of character, the rooms were all as described and it was well stocked (bathrooms, toys, games/puzzles, kitchen etc) Was perfect for a family weekend getaway for 8 of us. Location was quiet, but we weren’t after a busy town/village on this occasion. Only downside was a slight smell of sewerage or possibly rodent urine in the upstairs bathroom that may be needs looking into. But overall a great stay and everyone enjoyed the property, thank you."

"Lovely cottage, we all loved it. Could do with smaller glass bowls and jugs for microwave use as plates are too large to fit in. Parking is on road but road is quiet. Church chimes every quarter hour so if you are a light sleeper take eat plugs. Overall we enjoyed the area. The angel inn just down the road is very good, food good and well presented. Stairs in property a bit precarious, needs a handle near the doors to bedrooms as nothing to get hold of for two steps."

"The directions we received to get us to the cottage were very confusing and no use whatsoever. We had to knock on doors and ask locals. This was such a shame as we discovered if we took a different road from the A1064 it could not have been more straightforward. Never the less, we had a lovely holiday in a great location, very friendly hosts and we loved the cottage. Would love to go again."

"Cobwebs and dirt in every room. Bedroom has crumbs and cobwebs on the bedsheets. Clearly not cleaned for a long time. Had to book another place in the end; if you’re asthmatic this place will be unbearable. "
