Breakfast room wascramped and, for the price of the room, I would've expected something better than paper plates and disposable forks, knives, and spoons. Caveat: The hotel isn't handicap-accessible. Too many stairs. Didn't stay in a cottage, so I can't say if they're accessible or not."

"We're repeat offenders. Several stays. Cyndy's a wonderful person. She makes access to Carmel-by-the sea, possible. This was our honeymoon spot (Carmel) in 1974. Fifty years later, we've made the venture several times. The rooms are clean; showers have strong pressure. Atmosphere is positive. Staff is ready to aid you. And once again, Cyndy provides comfort to the trip."

"We've stayed here multiple times. This hotel is in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood blocks from quality coffee shops and restaurants and just a few blocks up from Asilomar State Beach. No frills, but clean, quiet, laminate floors and dog friendly. There is also a gas fireplace in the room which we enjoy. We've stayed in most of the hotels in this little neighborhood and Deer Haven is one of our preferred."
