Condado Ocean Club - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent

"I loved being by the ocean. The staff were friendly and the location was perfect. There was always a clean room with toiletries"

AC Hotel by Marriott San Juan Condado

10/10 Excellent

"We had an incredible stay! Everything was easy, the staff was attentive, and the lobby smelled amazing. Our one-bedroom suite was in great condition and extremely comfortable. Having two full bathrooms was a pleasant surprise! We didn’t use the pool or other amenities, so we can’t speak to those, but we loved our stay overall. The location was great, the coffee shop and açaí bowl spot right next to the hotel were a hit with us! Señor Baguette was so easy to walk to for breakfast, and the food was good. We went twice! Azul restaurant down the street was also a 10/10! Unfortunately, we didn’t eat at the hotel, but I heard great things from my friends who lived there. We will definitely be staying there again with or without the family."

Hilton Garden Inn San Juan Condado

8/10 Good

"There was a power outage that appeared to be just the hotel but I can not confirm that, we just saw the adjacent property had power. View wasn’t the greatest but that was more than likely the position of the room. Overall clean, great drinks, close to everything! Beautiful property"

This area is the heart of Achiote's visitor experience, offering direct access to the beautiful coastline. You'll find a selection of high-end resorts and boutique hotels, many with private beach access and ocean views. The promenade along Avenida del Mar is excellent for strolls, and you're never far from a restaurant or a spot to enjoy the sunset.

Families will also appreciate the convenience and amenities of the Achiote Beachfront area. Resorts often provide spacious suites, dedicated children's pools, and organised activities, ensuring entertainment for all ages.

When is the best time to go to Achiote?

The best time to visit Achiote is during the dry season, which runs from December to May, offering the most consistently pleasant weather for outdoor activities.

During these months, you can expect warm temperatures, lower humidity, and less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. This period is great for enjoying the beaches, hiking through the El Yunque National Forest, or simply relaxing outdoors without the interruption of frequent showers.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find these months particularly appealing. The clear skies and comfortable temperatures create an inclusive setting for beach strolls, dining al fresco, and enjoying the natural surroundings. It's also an excellent time for those who enjoy water sports, as the sea conditions are generally calmer.

For solo travellers focused on adventure and exploration, visiting during the dry season means better access to hiking trails and a more comfortable experience for excursions into the rainforest or along the coastline.
