Booked this Milford hotel for me and my husband as was attending Leeds festival, the hotel staff were very accommodating on arrival, I had contacted the hotel in advance about early checkin and as soon as we arrived our room was ready (at 12)
Even when we returned from the festival the man who was on the night desk had bags for our wellington boots.
The bar food in the water mill restaurant was very tasty too, Standard prices for a hotel - smoked salmon baguette with salad and crisps £6....

Such lovely friendly staff. It was a short stopover for us but we were so impressed by how lovely and friendly all the staff were whilst remaining totally professional. It was service with a smile in every encounter.
Lovely hotel we found by accident but will remember for the future. The public areas are smart and spacious and our room was comfortable and well considered. It’s not often I fell like making the effort to write a review but this hotel really took us by surprise for getting...

This is a fantastic hotel, in an idyllic location. Everything about Goldsborough is of the highest quality, with great attention to detail .Our room was exceptional and the cleanliness was the best I have seen so far. The gardens are delightful to walk round and the head gardener was very polite and friendly, as were all the staff. We found the Library and lounge lovely to sit and relax, but equaly a pleasure to work in when duty calls. The food is also of superior quality, breakfast and...

Super staff, very good location and parking facilities, clean a quiet, nice restaurant and the separate pub, and a very good value for the price I paid.
I really can’t think of anything I did not like.
I would go back for sure.
More of the same please.

We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

Jason & Katlyn in particular but all the Marriott Staff were genuinely friendly & attentive.
The deluxe room was as depicted & described, with cleanliness levels to be applauded.
The Marriott Leeds, I would highly recommended for its central location, the incredible staff, doorstep retail diversity, & global cuisine dinning options all within easy walking distance.
We will be booking the Marriott Leeds again for our future visits to City.

Stayed with my husband for our Wedding Anniversary and it was amazing. The Hotel knew this and left us a lovely note and some chocolates in our room for when we arrived, what a lovely surprise. We went to the Spa for a swim and sauna, we almost fell asleep on the beds we were so relaxed.

We stayed in room 410, it was a beautiful room, lovely decor & finish, a very good size too. Comfortable bed & bedding, the pillows were far to soft for our liking though. We were slightly dubious about potential noise as the room was next to the lift & across from the kitchen but it was surprisingly quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

We love this hotel! Such friendly staff on reception and the concierge. Perfect location, rooms are well equipped and quiet. Love the cocktail bar. Only downside for us was breakfast but now we book room only and eat elsewhere.

A near perfect stay at Delta hotels. The food, staff and pool were perfect. The only minus was the room’s bathroom which desperately needs an upgrade. Otherwise a great hotel next to the racecourse with a beautiful walk down the river into York. Would definitely come back.

Great stay from check in through to check out. Spacious, modern rooms and excellent buffet breakfast. Good location for shopping. Bit of a walk to FD Arena but just get an Uber!

The best area to stay in Aberford is within the village centre itself, particularly around Main Street, for convenience and access to local amenities.
This central part of Aberford is where you'll find the local shops, traditional pubs, and eateries. Main Street is easily walkable and acts as the heart of the community, offering a pleasant village experience. It's also well-connected for exploring the surrounding Yorkshire countryside.
Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find this area particularly appealing. You'll be close to the local pubs for an evening meal and a drink, and it provides a quiet base from which to explore nearby attractions like Lotherton Hall, which is just a short drive away.
For those travelling for events at the nearby Hazlewood Castle, staying in Aberford village centre offers a convenient and comfortable option.
When is the best time to go to Aberford?
The best time to go to Aberford is typically during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is most pleasant for exploring the surrounding Yorkshire countryside.
During these months, you'll find longer daylight hours and generally warmer temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like walking or visiting nearby attractions. The village itself is small and quiet, but its appeal lies in its access to the wider region.
For those interested in exploring the local walking trails, such as those around the Aberford Dykes or the nearby Lotherton Hall Estate, June, July, and August offer the best conditions. These months are also good for enjoying the village's local pub gardens.
If you prefer to avoid the peak holiday crowds and don't mind slightly cooler weather, May and September can be excellent choices.
