"Difficult for the hotel as there was a power cut for quite a few hours following the storm"

"Amazing hotel, lovely staff and delicious breakfast couldn’t fault it!"

"Lovely, quiet and extremely clean hotel in the heart of Grasmere. Fantastic friendly staff. Excellent breakfast."

"Stunning stay. We loved the proximity to the lake, the views and the star gazing. "

"Very clean, great location"

"Absolutely awful experience. The property was falsely advertised as having a gym and spa on site – neither of which exist. To make matters worse, the CO2 alarms went off at around 5:30am, which was extremely alarming. When we contacted maintenance, they “fixed” the issue by breaking the alarms just to silence them. "Perfect setting "

"We arrived a day early and had no problems getting a room. Loved the pool area - very relaxing. Loved the outside area - just beautiful, had some great walks. Very close to the steamers, which was a wonderful trip on the lake. The only problem we had was a very noisy room. "We stayed for 2 nights on a driving tour around the UK. I could not fault the Hazel Bank Hotel, Gary & Donna - your hosts cannot do enough for you. The restaurant is fabulous, great wine list, the rooms are gorgeous - loved every minute! thank you."

"Absolutely fabulous, the staff are professional, friendly and as returning guests they took time out to chat, when time allowed. Will be returning."

"We stayed here for 3 nights and walked in and out of Ambleside which was about 2.5km each way. There were running/walking trails straight out of the property. The house that the B & B is in is spectacular. The morning breakfast that is provided is far and away the best included breakfast we have ever had anywhere."
