"The hotel is a stately home. More like a Manor that is just outside Penpont; Thornhill is just a 5 min drive. It’s located in a gorgeous area surrounded by lovely old oak trees and the Scaur River. Excellent for a good walk. "

"Stayed at the Southpark House for one day while visiting Dumfries. The property is conveniently located approximately 5-10 min drive from the center (depending on traffic). We found it to be very comfortable and convenient. The rooms are fairly sizable with great quality bathrooms. Our bed was very comfortable and the quality of linens was very high. Rooms overlooking the rolling hills have a wonderful view of the valley. In the morning we were treated to a full Scottish breakfast which was...
