"We found this hotel to be very well ran, Clean very 5 star. Great well trained staff, don't take room service this was very poor. The room was perfect with every amenity. Cleaning on request, very comfortable VERY WHEELCHAIR UNFRIENDLY STEPS AT EVERY TURN, NO RAMPS OF ANY KIND. WE HAD TO ENTER BY THE BACK DOOR. THIS WAS VERY Disappointing."

"My friend and I had a girlie two night break at this hotel and loved it. When we arrived the receptionist noticed I was using a walking aid and unprompted started looking to change our room to an accessible room eliminating needing to use stairs. We were very touched by his thoughtfulness. It was an upgrade to a suite which was outstanding and it really enhanced our comfort and experience. We had a sitting room (with verandah) which was very comfortable and well equipped with a coffee maker, selection of high quality teas. There was a large bathroom and a super king size bed. Breakfast was nice, not outstanding but nice. The swimming pool was the big treat. Beautifully warm and the highlight of the stay. All the staff were very cheerful and friendly. This hotel is special and situated next to the Market Square which had lovely coffee shops, quaint shops and enticing pubs. Can’t wait to go back so thank you to all the staff especially Ali xxxxxx"

"Such a friendly homely place to stay. The village itself is beautiful with plenty of individual shops, the people are friendly The food at the Feathers is excellent, good choice and perfectly cooked. We will be going back soon for our umpteen visit"

"Was easy to find and a convenient location to access the centre of Middlesbrough, including the football stadium if you are there for a game. Room was good value for money - only comment is it had a small kitchen area but no wardrobe to hang up clothes..,not the biggest issue as it was only an overnight stay. Very helpful that there is parking behind the hotel that you can pay for at reception - a very reasonable fixed price for 24 hours. "
