Holiday Inn Express Folkestone - Channel Tunnel by IHG
8/10 Good
"Rooms were clean and all staff were lovely. The food onsite is decent but expensive. You now have to pay for parking £6 upon checking in. The family room however, we’ve outgrown. It’s a sofa bed and not ideal for two teenagers.the double beds also feel incredibly small. They need to expand some of the room sizes to accommodate more comfortable beds."

"I know that the hotel has had bad reputation, but I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and had a good night sleep. Looks like they are have been refurbishing the hotel. Lovely view of the harbour and sea. We didn’t use the restaurants or bar. Good location in Folkestone, close to town centre and Harbour. Good public transport links to other Kent towns. I would recommend staying at the hotel."

"Very nice room, aircon worked extremely well, had to turn it down a bit despite staying over on one of the heatwave nights. Staff were excellent, and breakfast was nice as well. Only thing to mention was the lack of parking availability. Whilst I booked my parking spot well in advance, it was clear they filled up very quickly, and weren't enough spaces for guests. There were EV chargers as well, which were all working and easy to use, but once the car was charged, there was no space to move it to a regular parking spot, so the hotel staff told me to just leave it there overnight, blocking someone else from potentially using it - not ideal for a Hilton. Overall though, excellent, would definitely stay again."

"Hotel undergoing some building work!was opening bar/dining area down below!which looks gd!room could do with dust remove d from top of wardrobe!Great shower!there again nothing in soap dispenser!just needed a little more attention to detail!overall I would stay again!though windows in my room i didn't like? Claustrophobic!location excellent!Great walking also"
