We got a free upgrade to a room with a queen sized bed, which was great since we stayed in Kyoto for five days so having more space made our stay much more comfortable. We also loved that we were less than a 15 minute walk to the downtown shopping area (i.e., Nishiki market, great restaurants, etc.). "Loved this hotel! No surprise it has such a high rating, the staff are very friendly and helpful, we didn’t encounter any issues during our stay here. The hotel even has an entirely free coffee counter which was really handy! As well as a whole section simply for amenities. It’s exceptionally clean and looks exactly how it does in the pictures. It’s also right opposite Nijo station which is really handy, only a few stops away from Kyoto. Would highly recommend this hotel! "
