Thoroughly recommended

The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Beautiful and well equipped room. If booking, be aware that there is no car park and they don’t serve breakfast although there are two excellent cafes close by. Wi-Fi is via I cloud and you need to have an account and know your password.

Loved this place, very welcoming, excellent and attentive service with a bit of humour thrown in! Super rooms which were spotless and well maintained. Very generous vegetarian breakfast which was very tasty! Would highly recommend.

Excellent location, shops and amenities on the doorstep. Clean, tidy room with good setting to make your stay comfortable as possible.

Beautiful place to stay. Would highly recommend. Staff were friendly and dinner in the restaurant was so good the first night we went again on our second.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Excellent value.

Polite and helpful staff. Good size room for the three of us Very near to theatre and town centre

Staff were extremely friendly, and my dinner the evening I arrived was delicious. I don't eat breakfast but the coffee was good. The setting of this place is just beautiful, I was sad to only be staying the one night.

The cottage was so quaint, great welcome pack with everything you need with a homely feel. Definitely will be returning with my dogs, ideal location for walking with a friendly pub within walking distance. Great communication with clear instructions, before arriving and after. Ian kindly contacted within a hour of leaving as i had forgotten something in the cottage.

This is the quintessential English vicarage and the perfect B&B. If you want to stay in a warm, welcoming and beautiful location, then look no further. The room was immaculate and breakfast perfect. Tricia and Andrew are excellent hosts and we could have happily spent hours chatting. They offered good advice on where to eat and where to go. If we return to the Peak District we won’t give a second thought to booking again.

We wanted to visit the local National Trust properties, which were all very worth visiting. The scenery was lovely (Peak District), and the pub we ate at was also very good - a recommendation of the hotel staff. We only stayed for three nights this time, but will be coming back for another visit sooner rather than later, and would hope to stay again at Newton House. The bar and lounges were nicely furnished and decorated, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Lovely staff,food& room

Very stylish & comfortable room with extra touches. Food in the pub was lovely, breakfasts were delicious and we had dinner there every night (intended to go elsewhere but the food was so nice we stayed in!) Host Fiona was a lovely lady, so friendly and welcoming.

In Hope Valley lovely spot. Our room had a lovely view of Edale. Sunday roast was excellent & the staff could not have been more helpful that evening. The only disappointment was the breakfast the next morning which was over cooked.

Great place to stay, lots of parking, staff very friendly and helpful, good food and bar. Would definitely stay again

Everything was perfect, including the breakfast. We would definitely come back, what a gem of a place.

Great base for walking, all facilities as expected, heating very easy to operate and the most stunning view.

Excellent food
