Pocket Guide: 2 Stars Hotels in Paris

When asked what we picture when we hear the name “Paris”, most of us would say the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, and expensive department stores. Spend a little time there, though, and you’ll find that there’s more to this beautiful city than first meets the eye. Once you’ve visited all the top tourist spots – Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe – try exploring the less touristy parts of the city.

Though Paris is known for being expensive, there’s also a side to the city that embraces a more down-to-earth style of living. A walking tour of the city’s most famous markets will yield cheap souvenirs, bargain clothing, and the tastiest of French street food. The Metro is a cheap and easy way to get around town, and stunning (free) views of the city can be had from the Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre.
