The hotel is at the end of it's refurbishment so the bedrooms, bathrooms and communal spaces are all newly refreshed and has been done beautifully with lovely fittings. The Terrass Bar has fab views over Paris. The staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for you. I would certainly return and recommend.
The only negative point (just to balance the review) is that our room was next to the service room and the cleaning staff start early so sometimes we were woken by the door. May be better if they could prop the door open between 6.30 am and 8.00 am so that the door didn't bang as often.
Mercure shares half of the building structure with its sister hotel Ibis, both part of Accor group. Room was clean, modern with good amenities. Bed was very comfortable but no storage available for clothes, only hangers for coats. USB ports all over the room but none of them worked for recharging electronics. Buffet breakfast was expensive and only good value if you stuffed yourself. Food selection is only average, not exceptional or even particularly tasty. Location worked for us as it was only 2 blocks from a metro station and about a 15-20 min walk to the Opera district where the big dept stores are located. Hotel refused to honor Accor frequent membership - no points, no privileges, because it was booked on Expedia. I specifically chose this hotel because the Expedia website and call centre said that I would receive my points. This also happened at a Hilton resort in Puerto Rico. I will not book hotels through Expedia again.
Perfect choice!;) Paris was a birthday suprise for my boyfriend . I choose superior room and also essential special offer ;) room was very clean, staff friendly and helpful. We got map with explanation from lady from reception about the place worth to see.

On a quiet side street in the Montmartre area. Walking distance to multiple metro stations and food options. The staff is very friendly and they offer free beverages and pastries in the evenings. The bathroom was a bit small so if you're tall your knees will touch the wall when using the wc. Other than that everything was great and I'd definitely stay here again.
"Great little hotel is lovely Paris neighborhood."
We stayed at a large, expensive hotel for two nights before we moved to the Best Western. I knew as soon as we got out of the Metro, that we were going to love the area. The hotel was very nice. We did not eat the option breakfast since there was a great pastry shop just a short block and a half away. The room was small, but very nice, clean, comfortable and just what we were looking for. The staff was very nice, I should write a terrible review since they may raise the rate after a lot of good reviews.

This hotel is very close to the Moulin Rouge, right in the heart of everything in the Montmartre District. Upon entering the lobby, I was a bit concerned but our room had a wonderful view of the area and we were directly across the street from the Metro, very convenient to everything. Unusual but delightful. I would absolutely stay there again!
"View Sacre Coeur from room & panoramic roof deck"
Staff were polite, courteous, helpful and informative. Location is central in Montmartre near Sacre Coeur and transit. Despite location on busy street room was quiet and provided a peaceful sanctuary from the bustle and noise of Paris.

"Very convenient, well presented and lovely staff "
This hotel is perfect for going visiting Paris. It is yards from the Blanche stop and the start of Le Petit Train which is a cute little train that goes round Montmartre for 6 euros each adult.
Yes, its near all the adult shops and girlie bars but we (two women) didn't feel uncomfortable and were not hassled at all and felt quite safe wandering around.
The room was lovely, very clean and nicely finished, not worn. The room is very compact however it has everything you need as a base. We didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on that.
Montmartre itself is lovely for little coffee shops and bistros and just up the road is Les 2 Moulins café which was the set of Amelie and does a lovely brunch for 12 euros. Le Pain Quotidien at the top of the road is fully organic and we had a great steak and garlic potatoes at the Zebra café also at the top of the hill. Le Chat Noir is just down the main road and had great live music and very friendly waiting staff.
We found the hotel a great base for going round Paris and our room was very quiet indeed.
The only reason I haven't given it five stars is because of the size of the rooms but I will most certainly stay here again when I come to Paris next.
Alos: There is a chemist a couple of doors up that sells Nuxe products for half of the UK price and stocks loads of Vichy, La Roche Posay and L'Occitane for much cheaper than UK prices.

Pocket Guide: Paris Montmartre - Sacre Coeur Hotels
One of Paris’s best-loved areas, the bohemian hilltop village of Montmartre offers winding streets, portrait artists on Place du Tertre, the wedding-cake basilica of Sacré-Coeur and extensive city views. Cafés and late-night cabarets add to the romance. The multicultural Goutte d’Or neighbourhood around Barbès-Rochechouart Métro has street markets and ethnic shops. St-Ouen flea market is a popular weekend attraction.
