Don't expect this hotel to be a high end one. With that in mind, you will have a decent sleep, food and relaxing time in Cartagena. I read all the reviews from guests stayed at this hotel, and I was quite worried about what was waiting for me after I made a reservation.
First of all, most staff members don't speak English (or they may not speak but understand). They were all nice and helpful though.
All meals were included and I had no complaints about it at all. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and you may find something you like outside the hotel if you don't like what they offer.
Pool area was a bit small but ok to relax and enjoy the sun.
For the price I paid, I didn't expect much but had a good stay in Cartagena. I went to some other hotels in that area during my stay (as I was there for hotel inspections for my side job), and saw the worse with much higher price!
The hotel is nice, great value for the money. The only draw back is that the hotel does not offer hot water for bathing. one staff member said it's hot in Cartagena, people don't mind cold showers. All but me, but still had a nice stay.

I was only at the hotel for two days but was very pleased. The hotel staff were were very customer oriented and when I had to cut my visit short, they worked with the travel agency to insure my refund. All in all I wish that I had been able to stay longer.

the hotel on the 3.rd carrera of Bocagrande, and in a one way street, behind a large tree, is not too noisy. the staff is friendly, helpful, laundry in the house. the old town can be reached by taxi for 7000 COP at any time in minutes
I stayed in a private ensuite room, with a/c and a television. The decor was very nice (bright Caribbean colors) and there were enough outlets to charge all of my electronics. The barthroom was generously sized, with plenty of space for my toiletries.
The water pressure in the shower was quite strong (which I like), though the water was not terribly hot. Please note: you will be hard pressed to find a very hot shower in Cartagena - no matter where you stay. I prefer steaming hot showers, but I found the water temperature at the Pueblito (and the other hotels I stayed at in Cartagena) adequate. At no point was I shivering, nor did I feel the need to rush out of the shower because I was cold. Besides, as hot as it is in Cartagena, you're unlikely to want a super hot shower anyway. I am writing this not as a complaint about the Pueblito Playa, but only so that others are aware of the water temp before going to Cartagena.
The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but it didn't stop me from having a good night's sleep. The sheets were clean, as was the rest of the room and the bathroom.
The staff were incredibly friendly and happy to help in anyway that they could. I didn't have much to ask about, but they were open and friendly and spoke very good English. One thing to note is that the hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a building on the right side of Avenida San Martin between Cll 5 and 4. From a taxi, it was a little difficult to locate.
