I stayed this hotel for business trip and got a double room.
The hotel staff I've met were all nice, friendly, and helpful (some restaurant staff were not really attentive and helpful though; it seems the hotel and the restaurant are somewhat independent and sometimes they do not communicate very well).
Also the location of this hotel is good for the price - I used a taxi from Berlin main station and it cost >10 euros. Also this hotel is close from the airport bus station (5 minutes walk). There are many local restaurant within one minute walk distance.
One thing I really didn't like was bathroom - the bathroom in my room has a big glass window facing to the bedroom so another person in the room would be able to see what you are doing inside the bathroom..
A ten-minute walk from the Kulturforum (a huge cultural/art center) and Potsdamer Platz in downtown Berlin, the location of this hotel was perfect for me. There is so much to see and do right close by, including a stroll through the Tiergarten (huge park for walking or biking). The hotel itself is first rate, and my only complaint about the room would be the TV was old and small. But in a several day stay, I rarely watched anyway. I appreciated the free wifi, as well as swimming every day in the pool. The desk staff and concierge were always friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
Other than the breakfast being over priced, to which end you have the choice to take breakfast at a local cafe, I cannot fault this hotel. Staff were so caring, and efficient. I would definatley reccommend and consider repeat visit myself. A short walk to the Tiergarten and trains to all city has to offer. It was clean, spacious with an element of fun with its colours and design.
"Lovely central Berlin hotel with wonderful pool!"
We visited Berlin at the middle of November for a long weekend for a birthday. We go to Berlin a lot but had never stayed at this hotel before. We picked it out because it was very convenient to get to (X9 bus from Tegel Airport to the Zoo Station (Zoologischer Garten); 200 bus from there to Budapester Strasse), good central location, big pool and there was a great rate for our four night stay including flights. We usually choose boutique and non-chain hotels and we feared this might be a bit "samey" but we really loved it. Excellent service, that wonderful Berlin atmosphere and humour, hotel very very spacious and clean and we had a wonderful large, quiet room which included tea and coffee-making facilities. For info there is English and German TV in the room (and maybe other languages) and the staff speak excellent English. We hope to go back next Christmas for the markets.
My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. As soon as we saw it on Expedia, we knew we had to stay there! It definitely lived up to our expectations.
The room was cleaned daily and I mean, not a spec of dirt.
The location of the hotel was great, we thought with IT being closed to the zoo that there wouldn't be much around. How wrong we were, there's shops, bars, cafes... Everything you might need! It was amazing!
The only thing I feel that the hotel was missing was tea/coffee facility in the room. There's a cafe next door so it's not an issue but I do love a coffee when I wake up!
