“excellent location”
Righ outside of Alxanderplatz Ubahn station, stands this 20 floors hotel. excellent location rooms as nice and clean. There are no free wifi - in the room or the loby. There is no bathroom or shower real door so prepare to get intimate
“Clean, comfortable, and in a great location”
The hotel was clean and comfortable and well situated. Alexanderplatz itself is a hive of activity, especially during December with the christmas markets. The train station is literally 1 minute walk away from which you have easy access to the whole of Berlin and the Airport (SXF). The views, if you upgrade to a city view, are spledid during the christmas period and worth the extra cost. Overall it is a good place to stay, one thing to keep in mind is that on the first day you are unlikely to be able to check in until 3pm if the hotel is busy. This is probably pretty standard but can put a dampner on things if you are living on 2 hours sleep from the night before with coffee and Red Bull to keeping you going.
“Great place to stay”
Great location for the S and U Bahn. Shopping (Alexa Shopping Mall), cafes and restaurants all in walking distance. Hotel room compact, clean and comfortable, including desk and 2 chairs so 2 can work. Staff very friendly and more than helpful and speak great English.... pretty much what you want for a hotel to explore Berlin from for a few nights. Didn't have breakfast but great cafes nearby.
“Central Location”
Chose this hotel mostly for the central location in Alexanderplatz. Good views across Berlin from the 17th floor. Room was clean and comfortable. Some imaginative use of the space to make the room seem bigger, such as the 'hospital-bed' style curtain around the bathroom area, which didn't bother me but some might find a little odd. It's a large hotel, so the queues at reception at check-out time were to be expected, but staff were courteous and efficient. It was the right place at the right price for a short stay.
“Well placed for site seeing”
Good hotel, friendly staff, good location, decent price.
“Great location for cheap food”
1. Loved being next to alexanderplatz with its food stalls and dept store with eateries. No trouble to find food late at night after attending the opera! 2. Easy walking distance to museums to avoid cost of ubahn/sbahn. 3. Hotel was very quiet with mostly german tourists 4. Being at end of txl bus line means you got on to go to airport before the non-airport destined crowds pack the bus. 5. dont be put off by the glass shower reviews...the curtain makes it a non-issue.
“Berlin "Style" Experience...”
A number of the reception personnel are cold and unfriendly, with little interest in accommodating the customer's needs (plus some do not speak good English). The cleaning staff, at least on the 8th floor, seems to be eager to clean early in the morning, which gives a sensation that the customer is not wanted there anymore. Finally, although the breakfast is ok (somewhat overpriced in my mind), I do not recommend eating in the 2nd floor hotel restaurant otherwise because despite the relatively high price some of the evening service staff is utterly unfriendly, unsophisticated, and obviously uninterested in providing good service. I know that being grumpy is a "characteristic" of a Berliner, at least according to many other Germans, but in a hotel belonging to a Scandinavian owned group one should expect much better service than what I was provided.
“Outrageous 18 euro per day internet charge! Ruins convenient location”
An East German tower block done up to a standard Park Inn hotel, which was clean and had pleasant staff. Very convenient for transport links of Alexanderplatz and thence to the rest of Berlin (including the TXL Airport Bus alongside hotel) and walking distance to superb Museum Island and even the sights near Brandenburg Gate if feeling energetic. We could not believe the outrageous charges for internet connection either in the room or via the public computers in the lobby and for breakfast if you did not have it included in your room rate - just greedy and most unlike the generally reliable and decent Radisson Group. Found it odd that the bar with views of Berlin closed at 2200hrs! All in all a reasonable stay but does not rate 4 stars for the above reasons.
“Conveniently located”
You can't missed the hotel. The second tallest building in Berlin. Open-plan bathroom is a little off putting.
“Very pleased”
Well placed, clean, and "European." First room was too hot (A/C wasn't working) and had a funky odor, but they switched us to a great room without incident. And the breakfast included was excellent.
