I had a custom requirement. Wanted to check in late.. morning 5 AM and leave in evening around 5 PM. Since it is approx 12 hours, I didn't want to pay 2 day tariff ( considering check in time is 12 PM ).
After I booked the hotel online, I called up the hotel and confirmed the same with them since I knew that it was a custom requirement and I didn't want it to be a surprise to the hotel management. They said the max they can allow me is 4 PM. I agreed. But in reality, I was kicked out of the hotel at 1 PM. The manager with whom I was interacting on the intercom was rude and arrogant.
Overall staying experience was good. Food was average (could only have breakfast).

We wanted a hotel in Thane so that we could visit friends who live there. We also wanted a hotel with a modest price tag. The Tip Top Plaza fit the bill perfectly. Some people might complain that the hotel is busy with weddings and other activities, but that just made the place a happier one for us.
Friendly staff but lacks talent. 5 people at reception and still took 10 to 15 mins to check in. Ordered room service and found two long human hair strands in rice.
Breakfast was below average.
Overall this is a cheap business hotel and staff lacks talent. By that I don't mean they are unfriendly. They just lack commonsense. Like the guy who was bringing our luggage rammed himself with us in the same elevator instead of taking the next one. The girl at reception called at 8 am to reassert that we have to check out at 10 am. So mind u check out here is 10 am. Although we were given an extra hour upon request.

The hotel room space and bed size are too short for 3 adults. When I booked the hotel in Expedia and room photo was for 3 adults, I felt, it is OK. As I booked several hotels in the world through Expedia, seeing the room,photo, the room space was sufficient. In this case it was difficult to sleep in 3 adults in 2 small single bed. The room size was also small to have an extra bed roll.
Another thing we faced real difficulty in finding the hotel. The name of the Hotel OYO room was not wrtten anywhere, instead Railway Inn was there. Nobody , even the shops adjacent to the building knew that the
Railway Inn was actually Hotel OYO room. In the booking itinerary the telephone no of the hotel was not there, only a centralized number of all OYO Room hotels was given. Upon calling the number, the staff was unable to give hotel number. We had a hard time, searching for the hotel under heavy rain in Mumbai thane , though we passed by the hotel several times
