"The cottage was perfectly for us, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, with everything you may need for a stay away from home, from a picnic bag to a slow cooker. The location is perfect.Walking distance to the park and ride for Whitby and a great restaurant and pub across the road. We also took advantage of the lovely bridal paths for walks in the countryside. Jenny the host was very responsive. I would definitely recommend"

"The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."

"The house was well kept, clean and very well stocked with all the things we needed for making Christmas dinner. The house was brilliantly located for getting to the beach and down into town. Communication with the owner was easy and he always responded. We will be going back. It was great."

"This place is spot on for a little retreat away from the bustle of nearby towns. The host is really lovely and accommodating. We had an issue with hot water that she resolved immediately. There’s lovely little touches like some welcome snacks. Honestly excellent value as well, you’d definitely not complain even if prices were higher given quality of the stay. "

"The property was in an amazing location just a short walk from the centre of Whitby. A very substantial spacious holiday let. The interior was modern clean and fresh with great amenities. The whole booking experience with VRBO was smooth and simple with good communication from the owner. I would definitely recommend this property for either a long or short sray."

"Great house, all king size beds. Relaxed feel to it, we felt at home immediately. Good sized living atea, showers all great. Perfect location just 10 mins walk into Whitby so no issues with parking! Highly recommend."

"We had 3 nights here. The cottage was easily found and it was lovely and clean, just a little irk of no coffee in the cupboard, so we left some. Take everything you think you will need on the first day as the village shops keep very short hours. We took the car back to the main car park. The top sitting room is the star of the show with views over the harbour. The double bed was very comfy. "Lovely house with enclosed garden for our dog. Fridge and freezer needed a good clean and the cups needed replacing ( cracked and badly stained). Otherwise all was good!"

"We had a lovely stay in Rosebank Cottage. Very central location and the property was clean and tidy. The website doesn’t mention that a deposit needs to be paid beforehand so one thing to consider if you’re staying."

"This property was an amazing location and wr did enjoy our stay immensely. But minor niggles - the blurb quoted a giant cleaning charge but the property didn't reflect marvellous standards (cobwebs and dust , grout in bathrooms mouldy ) the cutlery and kitchen equipment were poor quality. Also main bathroom on top floor was awkward but we should have realised this . Not much storage for clothes in bedrooms. I'd still book again though . Lovely house and views ."

"Staithes is mine and my partner's favourite place in the UK. We have stayed in Staithes a few times now and I can honestly say I would recommend this cottage to anyone. The location is perfect with a bit of a sea view from the bedroom window. The cottage has a lovely cosy feel to it, beds are really comfy and has everything you need for a short/ long stay.
