This is our 2nd stay @ a Conrad property- the 1st time was @ the NYC Conrad. The Conrad Beijing takes the 5 star experience to another level- the room layout (love the walk in closet) and property amenities are top notch. The workout room has great equipment, and the pool/hot tub area is calming/serene and helps you escape the hectic activity outside on the streets. The breakfast is great- American and Asian items to choose from. The only downfall ( not the Conrad's fault) is that cab drivers are not very familiar w/ the property, since it is one of the newer hotels in Beijing. We will definitely stay @ another Conrad property.

This room was a great deal! The rooms were larger then I expected and the beds were really comfortable. The hotel was located on "bar" street so there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. During the stay, the staff spoke great english and were very helpful with directions. The only catch is that the hotel is not too near a subway station. As long as you figure out other transportation or walk you are fine!
Comfortable clean luxury hotel, but the room was far too hot during my stay in March. The air conditioning did not work during my stay, and room attendant recommended opening the window. Breakfast buffet (Western) was mediocre - 'hot' food not hot and bread not very good.

The room was ideal, clean, quiet and in a great location only 5-10 mins form the Airport express and line 2 underground, with supermarkets and fresh food market nearby. The washer dryer was ideal with the hot weather. The staff where friendly and helpful and didn't try to push other services which often happens in other hotels. We had arranged an airport pick up and due to problems with the flight ended up being 10 hours late but they kept in touch with us and where at the airport when we landed, and didn't complain about the late pick or ask for more money. I will certainly recommend to Friends.
Stayed a week here, Fall 2013. It is 1 km from Sanlitun and even closer to many restaurants in the neighborhood. In the opposite direction, you are on a busier street and access to subway. I was on the 6th floor facing the street. Window could open; blinds could be drawn to make the room dark. In-room internet was reliable and good enough. (I hard wired my laptop and made it an access point to share via WiFi). I think there might also be WiFi.
7-11 is just about next door and convenient; I could even buy some ice there (small bags). The cafe in the hotel is okay - not terrible. Food was pre-wrapped in cellophane - a little high-priced - like airplane food. I only used it one time. There is some parking in back - which we made use of. One of us was a Chinese speaker so I can't comment on the availability of English speaking at the desk, but they were typical and professional. Yes, there is some DWV odor from the toilet - just keep the door closed. The room was clean enough, cleaning is available every day if you want it.
Bars and restaurants nearby and Sanlitun an easy enough 1 km walk. The room was small ("cute" or "cozy" in real estate speak) but still okay for two. The bathroom was clean with an excellent shower. So, in summary: it is not one of the modern 4 star hotels but a serviceable and clean older (smaller rooms) hotel. If I needed to be in this neighborhood again, I would stay here, unless my company was paying - then I might move up a star.
