"Wonderful place, friendly staff"

"Our family of 3 stayed at the Sherwood Inn for 2 nights. It was perfect! Breakfast was delicious. It was our 3 year olds favorite meal of the day both days in Edinburgh. The room was very comfortable for the 3 of us with very high ceilings and a nice en suite. I hope we find ourselves with more time in Edinburgh again sometime and we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you, Vivienne! "

"Fraoch House is a sweet place. It's older and has charm. Matthew the host was solicitous and eager to please. We had breakfast one morning and it was excellent. Our room was adequate. Lack of a plug convenient to one side of the.bed and.odd chairs that tipped over when we sat in them were drawbacks. The location was a disappointment. We didn't realize how far we were from everything. There is good bus service, but if you prefer to walk to attractions it's quite a slog. If you have a car it's no...

"The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."

"Everything great, but if you are a single, make sure you are not put in the rear room (3) on the ground floor. The refrigeration unit may keep you awake."

"Very comfortable bed with a small but modern bathroom. Great assistance from Colin and others of the staff regarding late arriving luggage. He also kindly loaned me a phone charger for the period of my stay."

"The property was well kept for the most part. Very convenient to bus lines to Old Town. Area seemed safe to walk around -residential. Water pressure in shower was very light. Not enough to wash long hair. But beds were comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. "

"Super lovely and thoughtful hosts who were quick to respond whenever we had any issues or requests. They were even kind enough to bring a mini fridge up to our room at the last minute to accomodate all the supermarket meal deals we bought :D There were a few wobbly bits in the bathroom like the shower pole and the tap, but everything still works. The beds were immaculate and super comfortable. The location is also really great, only a 20 minute walk to the beach front and Portobello village...
