"The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."

"Check In was helped by the presence of a staff member. This was fortunate as the coded key release system seemed to be playing up. We were in the basement room which was fine but the stairs were a little tricky with cases. The location is really good. 5 minutes walk from the Playhouse Theatre where we were seein a performance. It is just a 15 minutes walk from the railway station,10 from the bus station and 5 from a tram stop. We would happily stay here again."

"Great location for exploring Edinburgh, city centre is easily walkable. Arrived late due to transport issues and host was very accommodating. Room was downstairs so no windows, but was clean and a nice place to stay in. Private bathroom wasn’t en suite which wasn’t an issue, but I feel like this could have been made clearer when booking. Other than that, great price for a very convenient location. "

Not only is it in a gorgeous and accessible area of town, but the host, Craig, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. His knowledge of Edinburgh saved us from wandering around looking for the best eats, in fact right when we arrived he sat us down and wrote us a list and marked a map with his favourite spots. "We had a great time staying here. It was clean, there were freebies like teas, coffee, shampoo and conditioner.. There towels and blow dryer as well and water heater. There were nice and accommodating I highly recommend it.. Also, they allowed us to leave out luggages for awhile after our check out time to enjoy the rest of the day. "
