We only stayed one night but were very satisfied. We chose the hotel for its easy access to transportation to the airport but at the same time it is withing easy walking distance to many of the prime locations of the city centre.
Brought my 91 y/o mother to Vienna as her life dream. This hotel was a great deal for its location, rates, food and staff. My mother felt very comfortable and at ease. Very helpful front desk, especially one that went the extra mile to please us. Will recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Vienna. If I ever come back, yes it will be Hotel Am Konzerthaus.
Lovely location, equidistant from the new Hauptbahnhof and the center of town. Very clean room with a fridge and a nice layout. They couldn't find our reservation at first, but a few minutes of searching and then it was all fine. Plenty of grocery stores in the area. Hard to find a bankomat though!
WIFI was out for the first day of our visit, except for the lobby. Room was nice and quiet, clean. Staff was a little confused dealing with our laundry, but could have been partly due to my lack of German.
While on a 4 week holiday to Germany & Italy, my wife and I traveled with our daughter and 4 yr old grand daughter to Vienna for a quick two night "look see".
The hotel and it's staff couldn't have been better for our purposes and it's location within walking distance of most of the sites was appreciated.
The tours and theatres recommended by the concierge were perfect and the hotels transfer vehicle was more comfortable and cheaper than most other providers.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to a first time visitor and my wife and I will return again for a longer stay in the future, there is so much to see and do.
I'd recommend any tourist staying here should include breakfast in their tariff when they book, as the breakfast at the Intercontinental is exceptional and food generally in Vienna is expensive.
Vienna’s third postal district east of the city centre has medieval origins and now features many important sights and embassies. Another much-visited attraction is a visually interesting housing development called the Hundertwasserhaus.
