We were upgraded to a suite, which was awesome. One and 1/2 baths, separate living room, huge bathroom, I felt like I had my own apartment in Vienna. Not as close to the old stadt, but close to the Bellvedere Palace and St. Peters Church, and there is a fun brewery restaurant nearby. Close to public transportation to get anywhere. Very easy to get to the airport as the S bahn station is just at the end of the street which connects in one stop to the train to the airport.
Room was good size, well laid out, very clean and crisp, and had everything I needed. It had a safe, a small fridge, even light switches by the bed. The staff at the front desk and breakfast area were all very helpful and nice at all times. The location is really good...right next to the Belvedere Palace, Rennweg station to airport 2 blocks away, tram 1 block away, and only 10 minutes scenic walk to city center, but priced better than the city center. I spent 5 nights here, and would certainly stay here again!
The hotel is simple and unadorned and within easy walking distance of the centre of town. We walked to it from the CAT station, about 15-20 minutes away with hand luggage!
It is right next to Schloss Belveder, a must see for art lovers, and just a few steps from a guide book recommended Austrian restaurant in a beer cellar, which we sampled twice.
Breakfast at the hotel was excellent: choice, variety, flavour.
The bedroom was adequate but tended to overheat at night, so we opened the windows!
The staff was extremely helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there. One detractor is the breakfast - its not worth it. But, there are tons of restaurants nearby. Take the 4a to Karlsplatz. Plus, the Vienna dialect of German was interesting.
We took the slow train from the airport and after a 20 minute ride got off at St. Marx station on to the waiting 74a bus which took 2 minutes to the hotel. A bus ride to the city centre takes about 8 minutes and buses run every 10 minutes. The bus stop is about 20 metres from the hotel entrance. There are about 4 supermarkets within 100 metres if you choose not to eat in the hotel.
Check in was smooth and the suite we stayed on the 6th floor did not disappoint. We bumped into the hotel manager, Isabella, in the lift and she took time to advise on places to visit and best way to get there.
A well kept and clean hotel and would recommend for a visitor to Vienna.
Vienna’s third postal district east of the city centre has medieval origins and now features many important sights and embassies. Another much-visited attraction is a visually interesting housing development called the Hundertwasserhaus.
