"Susan is an excellent host. Unobtrusive, but there when needed and nothing is too much trouble. She also provides an excellent and varied breakfast. Although in the middle of the village, the property is private and secure. Our room was comfortable and lacked nothing. It was also warm as the temperature dropped below freezing outside. "Lovely room and comfy bed, it was very clean. Breakfast was nice. Felt like outsiders in the bar, which wasn’t a nice atmosphere for hotel guests. It felt like the Spanish Inquisition the way we were questioned by a member of staff about where we were from and why we were there while trying to enjoy our drinks. If you arrive late the pub is locked and you have to call to get in which we were unaware of and was not told when we checked in "

"A great set up, in a separate building. It was good to be able to come and go as I needed. A comfortable bed and good facilities. I wondered if I'd hear the road all the time, but I didn't hear it at all, and it wasn't very busy anyway. So that was great too. Really lovely and interesting walks straight from the house it'self and further afield as well. The Lime kilns etc were very interesting and the various reservoirs nearby were beautiful.
