"There are only 3 pods, which protects the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The view is exceptional and a place to truly relax. The pods offer a good standard of living space with a lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. The local sheep add an interesting intro to being in the countryside and lovely to watch. The pod is reached by a narrow single track road but this didn’t cause us any difficulties. The location is great for getting most places in the Dales. We will definitely be back. "

"Wonderful countryside and surprising light traffic locally. 30 minute walk on a quiet lane to the George & Dragon for good food, real ale and a delightful beer garden. Excellent Green Howards army museum and grand castle in Richmond. Hawes well worth a visit and Barnard Castle is a surprisingly large and bustling market town which has a lot going on and is a must see location. "My husband and I had 5 glorious nights at the Bothy and wished it could have been longer. "This hotel was a trip highlight. Stunning building, easy parking and delicious breakfast. Huge bathroom and possibly the cleanest we have ever seen in a hotel. Fresh air, friendly staff and we would love to have stayed longer. Special hour out to the stocks in the kids playground. Love it!"
