Great stay. Nice is a fantastic city. Apartment was a home away from home. Great facilities and very helpful staff. Over the road from a shopping mall including large national supermarket. About a 15 minute walk from sea. 5 minute walk from tram station - Acropolis. 5 minute walk from Nice Riquer railway station - direct connections to Monaco, Italy and Cannes.

We stayed on a leisure break from Sunday to Friday. On arrival we were early so the hotel did not have a room available for us, but they kept our luggagae safe for us until they were able to check us in. We headed for the rooftop pool, the Sunbeds are of the fine mesh variety which is great as it drains easily when you get out of the pool. The towels are a little on the small side, but are adequate and at least you don't have to pay for them. We ate at the Restaurant on the roof and all our lunches were excellent. great quality and reasonably priced for a Hotel. During our stay the weather was a little cool on a couple of days, so we made use of the Sauna. As we used it during the day we were the only occupants, which was lovely. Despite the Sauna being switched off when we went in, it warmed up very quickly and was at working temperature in minutes. There is nowhere to lock anything securely in the changing area, so a good tip is to get changed into a swimming costume in your room and cover yourself up with a towel to head for the Sauna. There are no additional towels available in the Sauna.
The reception staff were extremely helpful and did everything they could to make us feel welcome.
The extraordinary thing about this hotel is the calibre of the staff. They have taken "Customer First" to heart. We were given assistance in planning days out, with getting connected to the internet (there were technical problems to overcome), getting the shower repaired and travel assistance to the airport. We were given assistance when we arrived dripping wet. Nothing was too much trouble. The front desk manager had previously worked in very expensive hotels (600 euros a night) in Paris and her expertise in giving good customer service had been fully utilised in this relatively modest establishment. The bar served a small but acceptable breakfast and a good selection of small meals all day long. As I say the shower broke whilst we were there - however this was swiftly fixed.
"Good base for exploring Nice and the local area."
I enjoyed my stay at the Relais Acropolis, which is a stylish b & b. Staff friendly and informative, especially those on reception. I chose the hotel through Expedia and was not disappointed, although I did not initially realise that I had to go out for an evening meal. This is an area with good shopping facilities and a wide range of bars and restaurants. Good communications network with easy access to the trams and buses.. Only a short walk to Place Garibaldi for the airport bus and a number of restaurants and shops. Old Nice was a delight with its range of African shops and cafes reminiscent of Marrakech, antique shops and markets selling fresh fruit and flowers. Nice is a city right on the Mediterranean with grand boulevards as well as museums, churches and a number of tree lined squares, backed by hills. Shame I only saw them once or twice when the November rain had stopped for a while. May be best to visit again in the spring or early summer.

Friendly and informative staff, a modern, clean, light and airy room, ideally situated for exploring Nice, but don't stay here if you want to sleep! Lots of bars nearby, then the street cleaner jet washing the pavement, then the busses that stop right outside your window (although very handy for the return trip to the airport!) leads to a disturbed night. We had a very strong smell of drains in the room for both nights we stayed - staff suggested it was coming from the restaurant downstairs! I wouldn't recommend it based purely on the level of noise, but others might not find this such a problem.
