Property Amenities
Rooms
Radisson Blu Hotel, Nice has 331 rooms and suites, 188 with large balconies and direct sea views. The decor is themed in one of the three styles:
"Urban" guestrooms have classic style revisited from a contemporary perspective. The furniture's pure lines blend with the decor of soft grey and beige tones, enlivened by a carmine red wall section, red curtains and matching bedspread.
In the "Ocean" rooms, where blues and yellows predominate, everything is reminiscent of the sea. The furniture is characterized by fluid, modern lines: for example, the bed, set facing the sea, possesses a bedstead made of light wood and glass whose blue tones evoke the waves and glint in the evening sun. The mirror also has a wavelike design, the desktop is made of a light wood and the sand-coloured armchair is an invitation to relax. The blue curtains help create a gentle marine atmosphere.
The "Chili" style is simultaneously exotic and discreet. The lively, warm colours (orange, pepper red) and the daring, highly creative furnishings give the rooms a vibrant, spicy atmosphere. The forms are curved and ergonomic, as characterized by the design of the desk and armchair, and the materials give pride of place to exotic woods and brick-coloured leather. The vermilion curtains create beautiful light effects.
All rooms have complimentary wireless and wired Internet access, and flat-screen televisions with satellite channels.

“Nice Hotel, but a little disappointed.”
We had a Sea View room, which had an awesome view. However, I'm not used to a road going between me and the water. Also, there was an extra charge for parking of $20+ per night, plus they charge $15 bucks a day for a chaise lounge at the roof top pool, and/or their "private beach". The beach is pretty, but there are HUGE rocks and hurt your feet. Don't forget the water shoes if you choose to go swimming.
“Great Hotel and Service but note some additional fees”
We stayed at the Radisson for 4 days after staying at the Boscolo Exedra for four days as well. The Radisson is nice because it is right on the Promenade hoever, it is not in the Center of town. The hotel, however, provides a very convenient shuttle to and from the centre of town which was great, quick and at no cost to us. I was not happy that they charged 9 Euro per chair, towel etc. to lay by the pool and the drinks are very expensive. The Pina Colada was 18 Euro which is $25 american dollars (at the time) - quite a rip off. The beach is across the street and again you end up paying the equivalent of $27 American Dollars per chair. They don't have a long stretch of the beach so if you are not there early, you end up sitting in one of the bck rows and don't even have a view of the beach itself but of the head of the person in front of you. The Hotel itself is very nce, rooms are nice, very clean, the service was great from everyone except by the pool one server charged us for chair service altho we did not use it or sign for it - so be careful with that. One more thing - altho we requested a double/king bed, what they give you is really two small beds attached so there is a split down the middle - not a big deal to me but it may be to others. All in all, very satisfied, everyone spoke english and was very helpful.
“Brillant Hotel Courtesy Bus”
The location of the Hotel is not central to the main city of Nice but the very prompt, clean, regular ( a.m. and evenings only ) and 15 minute journey into ther city was good. Hotel staff very helpful. The Radisson is only a few miles away from the airport so the taxi fare was a bit of a shock. There are local shops behing the hotel and only a short walk. We only stayed for three nights and it is the first time in Nice. Really enjoyed the City and the cosmopolitian atmosphere. Lots of shopping and site seeing or just relax on the Hotels private beach or poolside.
“Worked out great”
Our choice could not be better - the hotel is right on the sea and beach and on the most prominent and fun street in the city - Promenade des Anglais. The beauty of the sea, matched with the street hustle and bustle, at the same time away from the real crowd - makes it really a great choice. The hotel is surrounded by majestic old and some new buildings, great neighborhood and not as congested as the city center. The hotel shuttle is very convenient and makes it extremely easy to get back and forth to the city center. The airport is so very close, too, and some local restaurants are just around the corner. The view from rooms and terrace is stunning, the hotel location works great to move quickly between sea and pool. The hotel people are extremely helpful. The design is contemporary and trendy, we will look for other Blu Radissons around the world to stay there.
“Consider all the reviews carefully. Many pros, a few cons. Not a cheap deal.”
Some of the other reviews put us off a bit. The rooftop pool is free to use. Take your own beach towel to avoid the ridiculous 18 Euro daily charge for sunlounger and towel. The hotel should scrap this charge but resolutely refuse to apply common sense, to attract more income from drinks etc. The pool feels colder than the sea (Mid July), and far less fun, so you won't want to hang around much. The "private" beach is also free, but you will need to pay the same (18 Euros) for a sunlounger and parasol. To be honest, it makes the hotel look a bit stupid as this is a far less busy end of the Nice beach. You only have to walk a few yards to a much less crowded section of "public" beach. A beach mat and parasol can be BOUGHT (from a useful shop if you walk west down the Avenue Californie) for less than a day's hire Don't bother eating in the hotel, the prices are embarrassing. 2 local boulangeries also west on Avenue California - for breakfast (if not included in your stay), bread and patisseries to die for. The seaward facing rooms are the best, each with balcony, but you will pay a lot more. Double glazing extremely effective against the seemingly constant and deafening traffic. A good spread at breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff (some incredibly rude guests!). Beds comfortable enough to want to sleep late! Courtesy buses to town (40 mins walk). Rather prone to changes without informing anyone. "It had to leave early because it was full. The next is in an hour".
“Radisson Blu - Nice”
This was a very nice hotel with lovely views of the Mediterranean. Reasonably close to old Nice. The best thing was the knowledgeable and helpful concierge who really went to the trouble to understand what we wanted to do / see and made very good recommendations. Parking a bit pricy at 25 euros/night, but this is Cote D'Azur in high season. If I did not stay here again, it would only be to experience other hotels in different parts of Cote D'Azur. But for the first time visitor (like me), it's definitely a good choice from which to explore. Located on Promenade des Anglais, this hotel is close to both the airport and the old city, making it quite convenient.
“Great Hotel Poor Customer Service”
This Hotel was in a great location with great rooms the Hotel staff were very rude and unfriendly, One exception to this was the roof top restaurant the food was great as well as the service (Girish).Another fault was that the Hotel charged 18 Euros for a chair at there pool Tom & Tammy Toronto
“Should have been better”
The Radisson brand internationally I think is usually quite good but this hotel is not up to those standards. Physically, the hotel is tired and needs updating. The lobby area is very much of a business hotel feel. The rooms are nothing special and can be noisy. The daytime concierge was not helpful and a little rude. The night manager at the restaurant was fantastic though and had a great can do attitude. But, while the people at the restaurant were friendly and helpful, the breakfast at 20 euros is way, way overpriced. Overall....there are much better hotels in Nice that are no more expensive and much better located. Go there.
“great hotel in nice”
rooms were as discribed. they were clean and of sufficent size. dinning room was a bit expensive but everyone was friendly. the location is great.
“Horrible serves ruined an otherwise decent hotel”
The hotel’s service, particularly the bar staff at the pool, was horrible. By far the worst my wife and I have ever experienced in our lives. The only thing that saved the hotel from getting a “1” for service in my review was that they refunded the lunch we had at the rooftop pool after making repeated complains and outright refusing to pay it. Sat down at rooftop bar on first day and were forced to wait 45 minutes before being offered so much as a water despite the extreme heat. Nobody at the hotel apologized or wanted to take any responsibility when we complained. Be prepared to pay 15 euro per person if you want a chair at the pool. I realize you pay for a chair at the beach, but why not just raise the prices by 15 euro per night instead of gouging for this? Hotel is close to the airport which is a plus, but is a half hour walk each way into town, with really no restaurant option in between. If it wasn’t for the service, I might recommend this hotel if you don’t care about being close to town, but as a middle of the road hotel at best it can’t overcome the extremely poor service and attitude.
