“Most Convenient Hotel in Nice”

Having stayed in Le Meridian many times was not disappointed on this stay. I just find this hotel so convenient for getting around Nice, the staff are always helpful, the food is good, the rooms are good, the views from the dining room/bar are excellent. I always have very good spa treatments as the staff are very professional. The only minus point is that Ruhl Plage is the recommended beach and although it is o.k. the staff and service in the restuarant are not up to the standard of Le Meridien. I am looking forward to staying again very soon and to seeing the new refurbishment next year.

Area recommendations
The Old Town is a very interesting area for eating, shopping etc. The Little Train and the Bus tour are excellent. The Chagall museum is one of the best I have ever been to.

“I Will Stay Here Again”

Our stay at Le Meridian was spectacular. The location was second to none and the rooftop bar and pool was everything one would expect from a trip to the south of France. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. We loved everything about our stay. When a minor hitch arose with the hotel, the staff was incredible and could not do enough for us. It is the bumps in the road that put a hotel to the test and Le Meridian arose to the occassion and handled it perfectly. We are told they are closing for seven weeks to renovate. We can wait to go back and see what they do.

“Le Meridien - Nice very disappointing”

There is a poor attitude towards guests by the staff at the front desk. The TV made a terrible sound and had very poor visual quality. All in all, I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Not bad, great location”

Standard 4-star Hotel of Starwood chain. Brilliant location in Nice. Extremely convenient parking. Good smell of fresh linen. Bad smell in the bath room, may be due to dirty drain. Unreasonable daily rate of Wi-Fi service with no weekly rate. So everyone uses free Wi-Fi wave from McDonald located on the first floor of the building. Nice swimming pool and solarium on the roof. Very nice personnel.

“Hello Med!”

A great location, Le Meridien is perfectly located on the main drag of Nice. Across the road from the beach and sporting it's own dedicated sun lounge space on Nice's main pebbled beach, we enjoyed several days of sunning, wining and dining. Nice is expensive and you do pay extra for absolutely everything - including the sun loungers on both the beach and the hotel's roof terrace - but it was worth it. What's not to love about the turquoise blue of the Med?! The massage I had in the hotel's spa was also fantastic and the staff were always friendly and polite. Will definitely stay here again next time Nice is on the agenda!

“premier location”

We chose this hotel because of its excellent location and were not disappointed! Right on the seafront, next to the gardens and a ten minute walk max to the old town, where the flower and produce market is held and where you will find a great choice of restaurants, cafes, quirky shops, delis etc. There is also a great choice of restaurants and cafes around the hotel : right on the front outside you will find a great cafe for breakfast coffees, croissants and more. A few blocks back from the Avenue de Verdun - more restaurants, etc so don't think you have to eat in the hotel or go far for a great meal. A great bonus was the Carneval de Nice which was taking place over the weekend we were there and for the next 2 weeks. We were able to watch the afternoon and evening parades from our balcony or behind the big picture windows when it got too cold to be outside. Downside ? The hotel is very expensive for eating/drinking so go out and try the local restaurants. For free wifi access, ignore the default and search for McDonalds - it's free but closed on Sunday pm. Signal strongest in the bar but was available in our room on the 6th floor facing garden/sea view. I loved my stay in Nice - everything is so close to hand and it is a beautiful city and despite being a tourist magnet, still feels authentically French, out of season anyway.

“Since our last stay at le Meridien our experience was exceeded this time.”

the hotel had been given a make over since our previous stay . our room was very modern and had a large balcony with loungers and table and chairs that over looked the Promenade des anglaise. All the staff are friendly and will accommodate your requirements if they can. Breakfast is of a high standard with lots of choice available Th hotel is in a very convenient location for all types of activities.. Can't wait to go back!

Area recommendations
All areas of the city were fine we had no bad experience every one was very friendly and helpful. Travel by train and bus was very good.

“If you want luxury, don't choose this hotel !”

I've stayed at Le Meridien Nice several times before. It used to have a wonderful atmosphere; bright airy rooms in Provencal colours and a comfy bar/lobby. Recently it was refurb'd - dark grey/purple/red walls, stripey cheap carpet, plastic stools; no longer luxurious - the chain now spend money on fripperies like decorated key cards and notepads which are see-through - yet our shower curtain had holes in it, toilet which didn't flush right, main light which didn't work, sun terrace which was flooded then was dirty all week. The staff are lovely though and the hotel very central to town. Sack the trendy interior designer and concentrate on the things that matter !

Traveller's tip
Breakfast in hotels here is very expensive - but there are several places in the Market (Cours Saleya) - Les Ponchettes for example - where you can get an 'American Breakfast' for a fraction of the price and it's filling too.

“Love the Ocean View Rooms”

We've returned to this hotel 3 times, always in the same room type. We mostly stay here for the location- across from the beach and close to the Rue Pietonne/Rue Massena. We also like the ocean view and comfy beds. Another perk this time was the availability of connecting ocean view rooms to accomodate all four of us. My other family members always stay in the Classic rooms to save money and are never impressed. They don't like the beds in those rooms and say the carpet is filthy (both 4 years ago and on our last trip). In summary, the ocean view rooms are wonderful, but this doesn't apply to the other types of rooms.

Traveller's tip
Mmmm, love the wood fire pizza at Le Quebec or their two other locations on Rue Massena.
