In common with many other people who have reviewed Hotel Florence, we go there because of the location, the friendly and helpful staff, the breakfasts (thank you for the cakes, Marine), and just the general ‘feel’ about the place. Mind you, this was our fourth (or fifth?) visit, so need I say more?

The location was fantastic - very easy to get to from the airport, walk around Nice and get the train to other places. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the original room I was given was not good - the shower was not clean and the size of the bathroom was ridiculous. You couldn’t even sit on the toilet without your knees touching the wall! I understand hotels will use the best photos online, but the bathroom was nothing at all like the pictures shown. Front desk agreed to change my room which I was appreciative of and the new room was much better. However the walls are paper thin and I could hear every conversation the rooms either side of me were having.

Excellent 3 star hotel run by a lovely team of people in a convenient location for exploring the city with transport links on the door stop. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfasts are plentiful and homemade. I would definitely recommend this hotel where the staff have a real pride in their jobs and looking after their guests.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good - in between the train station and old town. Unfortunately, the A/C didn’t work in our room when we were there which made it uncomfortable. I didn’t hear anyone else having issues so it may have just been our room. They did try to correct the problem but we’re not successful while we were there.
