For our visit to some World War One graves my friend and I needed a hotel close to Boulogne Eastern Cemetery and the town centre. This one perfectly fitted the bill.
It is located right in the town centre, perhaps a little unexpectedly on one of the main shopping streets, and was therefore perfect for our requirements.
It is a very pleasant and efficiently run establishment, with rooms which are comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean.
Reception staff, all of whom speak English very well, were courteous and helpful.

"Well positioned hotel directly opposite old town "
Love spending time in Boulogne a visit to the Cathedral, walk the old town walls for views, take a drink in the Vole Hole a tiny bar, a coffee as you explore the old town and its many reasonably priced restaurants etc.
If walking down to new town would recommend a taxi back up (very reasonable) unless your fit and very energetic.
Take the coast road back to Calais for the ferry D940 via Wimeraux, etc. spectacular views of the Opal Coast.

The hotel is a good value, basic hotel which is clean. The decor is a little tired, but for the price you can't complain. The restaurant is lovely with a whole array of freshly cooked food and a good 3 course deal. There is also a lovely view of the cathedral.

This charming town is France's biggest fishing port, so seafood abounds in its many restaurants. Massive ramparts ring the old town where cobbled streets pass between the cathedral and the old castle. The twice weekly market takes place in the centre of town where other shopping and eating opportunities are plentiful, while the NAUSICAA aquarium provides a welcome distraction for younger visitors.
