The Strip
—————-

When most people stay in Vegas, the Strip is their preferred location. It’s one of the most visited destinations in the world and holds most of the area’s casinos, restaurants and entertainment venues, so it’s great to stay close so you can be in the heart of the action. You could stay in one of the casino resorts on the strip such as the Bellagio or opt for luxurious accommodation at The Palazzo at the Venetian. This opulent hotel resort boasts massive suites with sunken living areas and bathrooms decked out in marble, as well as a pool deck for sunbathing and partying.

Downtown Las Vegas
————————-

If you want vintage Las Vegas, the downtown area is the best place to stay. It’s the only remnant of Old Vegas in the city and offers a certain nostalgia and authenticity but with all the lights and excitement of the Strip. You’ll find numerous attractions in Downtown Las Vegas, including the Fremont Street Experience and its over-the-top entertainment and amusements. To stay in the heart of the action, you can opt for The D Casino & Hotel, which boasts a metro Detroit theme, or the Four Queens Hotel, a retro-style hotel with an old-fashioned steakhouse.

Henderson and Summerlin
——————————

Las Vegas is quickly expanding beyond the neon lights of the Strip and Downtown. Henderson and Summerlin, located on opposite ends of the valley, offer quiet places for families or travellers looking to take it easy on the trip. You’ll still be close to the attractions of Las Vegas, but you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city when you want. Both communities have nature trails, shopping centres, parks and restaurants as well.

North Strip
——————

The North Strip is located at the end of the famous Strip and has an entirely different atmosphere. The area has undergone recent renovations that have left everything quiet, and you can book great deals on recently renovated attractions. While there are a bunch of quickie wedding chapels, bail bondsmen and pawnshops, there are also some great dive bars and steakhouses. You have plenty of accommodation options as well, such as the Hilton Grand and Stratosphere.

Chinatown
—————-

Though many cities have a version of Chinatown, Las Vegas has one of the best in the country. You’ll find a plethora of excellent restaurants serving food ranging from sushi to ramen. You’ll find non-Asian attractions in Chinatown as well, such as bars, fine French restaurants and other multicultural fare. While you can’t book a hotel right in Chinatown, you can find well-known hotels nearby like the Palazzo and Venetian.

Red Rock Canyon
———————-

If you’d rather spend some time in the desert, the best place to stay in Vegas is near Red Rock Canyon. One of the top attractions near the city, Red Rock Canyon boasts colourful sandstone peaks for biking, hiking and rock climbing. There’s also an old mining community nearby with casual restaurants, ranches and parklands. If you’re going in winter, you can drive to Mount Charleston for winter sports like sledding, skiing and snowboarding.

Primm
————

Located just a short distance from the Strip, the town of Primm boasts Las Vegas culture with its own range of unique attractions. You’ll find a few hotels in Primm where you can stay, each of which has its own casino. Most of the attractions in Primm have a Wild West theme, including artefacts like a Buffalo Bill roller coaster and Bonnie and Clyde’s bullet-riddled car. You can also see some movie memorabilia in the area, including the Batmobile, and have dinner and drinks at an authentic Old West saloon.
