### The Lincoln Cathedral
There’s no way you can take a holiday to Lincoln and not check out the Lincoln Cathedral. This unbelievable feat of architecture is the jewel in Lincoln’s crown, and it’s not difficult to see why. For over 300 years, the cathedral was the tallest building in the world, and today it has been refurbished and renovated to showcase all of its original beauty. At over 1000 years old, with many gorgeous examples of Gothic architecture, the Lincoln Cathedral is always sure to make the list of the best things to do in Lincoln.
### Steep Hill
You guessed correctly… Lincoln’s Steep Hill is indeed steep, but it’s so much more than that. Make your way up the cobblestoned street to discover some of Lincoln’s cosiest cafés, independent shops, and local businesses. It’s perfect for whiling away a few hours in the city and a great way to support local spots in Lincoln.
### The International Bomber Command Centre
Found just slightly outside the city centre – so you may want to hire a car in Lincoln for easy accessibility to the countryside – the International Bomber Command Centre is a relatively new addition to Lincoln but very much worth a visit. Incredibly moving, this centre tells the story of the Bomber Command during WWII. It is also the site of a memorial dedicated to the nearly 58,000 people who gave their lives supporting Bomber Command. An absolute must-see when you’re in Lincoln in order to understand and appreciate the city’s history and impact a little bit better.
### Lincoln Castle
Built in the late 11th century by William the Conquerer, this Norma castle is a wonderful addition to your visit to Lincoln. Even if you’re not a history buff, a walk around the castle’s walls for a view of the city of the Lincoln is well worth a visit. One of the better preserved castles in the UK, it’s easy to see why this landmark often makes it on itineraries of things to do in Lincoln.
### Doddington Hall and Gardens
For a taste of the warm Lincolnshire attitude, head to Doddington Hall and Gardens. Beautifully kept grounds and a cosy café make for a wonderful morning or afternoon in Lincoln. Make sure to check out the shop where you can buy lots of local goods to bring home!
### The Collection
The Collection is the amalgamation of the Usher Gallery, one of Lincoln’s top art galleries, and the City and County Museum. An excellent overview of Lincoln’s history from ancient times until present day, a visit to The Collection is perfect for all ages; kids will especially love the archaeological exhibitions.
