The hotel has many positive aspects. The lobby, outdoor areas, restaurants, pool, and the small shop inside the hotel are all very nice and well maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly & pet friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, there was a noticeable smell throughout the hotel, which may be due to the age of the property. Unfortunately, the rooms did not feel very comfortable or cozy. They appeared outdated and also had an unpleasant odor, which affected the overall experience.

Love that it was pet friendly! But the beds were super uncomfortable, the toilet ran the entire time, the ceilings in both bathrooms were peeling, carpets were dirty. Considering how much you pay during peak season, I would expect it a bit better maintained. Staff were lovely and grounds are nice.

It was OK. The hotel is quite dated. And even though it’s on a lake, there’s no way to walk around the lake. And the first day we were there it was a beautiful morning. We wanted to sit on the patio to have our breakfast and it was closed for no reason at all. Very disappointing. But it was nice to have a view of the lake to just relax and unwind after a busy day or at the beginning of the day with a cup of coffee
