Gambier Island Fishing Holidays

I had selected and paid higher price for a corner king studio hoping for a nice and comfortable stay, turns out this type of rooms are on the lower floor with extremely ugly view like construction and garbage site and next to a power pole and train rail, I have attached photo. Talked to the hotel and they switched us to a cheaper regular room on the higher floor with decent view ( half river and half building) without refund, we were only given ONE voucher for two for our entire stays of 4 nights. This is not the right compensation and in my opinion the hotel should have charged less for the corner king studio due to the ugly exterior corner.

The view from our room of the harbor was breathtaking! the location was perfect - hotel staff excellent! we sould definitely stay there again!!!

Easy access to our departure terminal. Super flexible and Accommodating staff: gave us quiet room and even brought a fridge as a bonus. Having travelled long haul with children we were able to regenerate and appreciated the perks the hotel provided. The beautifully scented toiletries complemented the ambiance. Zach - The bell boy/concierge was very polite and helpful with our pieces of luggage. What we didn’t like and would recommend updating was a shower head, which was too small, loose and the stream of water rather insufficient. We would like the roll on alternative, or the wider circumference shower head.
