"No bells and whistles but clean"
Easy access and the guy who checked us in was friendly. Parking is UNDER the hotel. We stayed clean and dry getting our things in and out of the trunk. Walk up somewhat poorly lit stairs to rooms. I don't think they have an elevator, if that is necessary for you. Doors open with a card that you slide in the electronic door lock. Rooms have older fixtures (tube TV with a glitchy remote) and basic accommodations (a nice dose of paint would help), but it was clean and the king size bed was clean (I checked) and comfy. The room has a single heater/AC unit. The heat works very well - didn't try the AC. Bathroom was basic too, but well lit and the towels were clean and the shampoo smelled nice. No fan in the restroom but there was a warming light in the ceiling. Also, just to be fun, the cleaning staff left a little Mammoth / elephant made out of towels on the counter. Cute! Breakfast was basic but fresh (I had apples/cinnamon oatmeal packets with milk, my husband had raisin bran cereal with bagels and fruit). Coffee was good - and if you like "fru-fru" coffee, they had a machine to provide cold, pre-sweetened coffee blended with mocha or vanilla). They also have hot chocolate for the kiddos.

Pocket Guide: Yosemite National Park Wyndham Worldwide Hotels

Wyndham Worldwide is one of the largest hotel companies in the world. You’re sure to recognise some of the iconic brand names in its portfolio – they include Ramada, Travelodge and Days Inn. The company offers over 110,000 properties in more than 100 countries, and you’ll find several Wyndham Worldwide hotels in Yosemite National Park and the surrounding area.

Choosing a Wyndham Worldwide Hotel for Your Yosemite Stay

Wyndham Worldwide’s Yosemite National Park hotels are mostly under the Travelodge brand, and offer reliable, affordable two-star accommodation that is perfect for families. Useful in-room facilities such as fridges, microwaves and extra beds will help to make travelling with children a little easier, and depending on which Wyndham Worldwide hotel you choose you might have a games room a swimming pool, a spa tubs and a sauna on site.

    Exploring Yosemite with Children

If your children love nature and the outdoors, they’ll adore Yosemite National Park. The park has many miles of hiking trails to be travelled and even little legs will be able to manage some of the shorter trails. Try the popular route to Lower Yosemite Falls from Yosemite Village, or walk in the shade of ancient giant sequoia trees at Mariposa Grove. Get further off the beaten track to spot some of Yosemite’s iconic wildlife, including eagles, deer, ground squirrels and bighorn sheep.

    Organised Activities for Yosemite Visitors

Give older children their first taste of rock climbing, horse riding or rafting, or encourage them to learn more about the park in the Yosemite Junior Ranger programme. Little kids can have a go too – there’s a special Little Cubs programme for under-sevens.

    Yosemite on a Budget

Wyndham Worldwide’s Yosemite hotels offer great value for money, but there are plenty of other ways you can save while visiting the park. Try using the local YARTS buses instead of driving – they’ll take you straight to Yosemite Village, and you won’t have to pay the park entry fee imposed on private vehicles. From Yosemite Village you can take a free shuttle bus to many of Yosemite Valley’s most famous sights.
