"Went with my friends for 4 nights stay, it was lovely, very helpful staff, great breakfast, weather was gorgeous so we didn’t spend the days in the hotel. As we were doing long hikes and exploring all day, didn’t make it to the spa Would definitely return"
Keswick Country House Hotel

"This hotel is in an excellent location in Keswick and the staff were very helpful. The bar area was large and relaxing. However, the room, apart from the carpets, was tired and needed refurbishment. There was a black mould around the wooden windows. The shower unit was yellow with age. Even the toilet paper was thin and cheap. The breakfast was adequate, but the orange juice in particular, was like coloured water. Given the much higher price compared to local b&bs, we were disappointed with the overall experience."

"Hotel was fine, but not exceptional. However, there were not enough staff to run the bars in the day/evening. Evening menus were fairly limited and the same each day. We felt that the hotel was extremely overpriced based on the quality of service provided. We stayed for 5 nights and each morning at breakfast we were asked if it was our first visit to the restaurant - an indication of how valued we felt as customers!"

The Edwardene

"Thoroughly enjoyed my 3-night stay at the Edwardene. The bed and bedding were top notch and I slept so well there. The shower also was great, as were the wonderful lemongrass-scented soaps, lotions, shampoo, body wash, etc. Breakfast options were plentiful and I also liked the lounge area on the 2nd floor with an honor system for coffee and other beverages. All staff were friendly and helpful - they were there when needed and attentive to any questions. It was such a restful and pleasant place to stay, and great location too. Highly recommend!"
Borrowdale Gates Hotel

"Pretty remote so if you’re out driving, make sure you become familiar with the (fairly convenient) bus schedule, although it’s a half mile from the bus stop, or be prepared to pay a healthy taxi/Uber fare from Keswick. The grounds are lovely and rooms/common areas well-maintained. Breakfast doesn’t start until 0745, very inconvenient for an early start. Staff could be a little more helpful in pointing out bus schedule, local attractions, arranging cabs, etc. a nice experience overall."

"Room was absolutely amazing couldn't fault at all clean & had everything needed, staff was friendly & so helpful they only thing that let the place down was the breakfast but honestly cant fault the rest the staff was amazing & didnt charge for the breakfast thank yous so much for everything"
