"Stayed for a festival out at Earlham Park. Did not have a vehicle, buses to from Norwich and the Uni are quite convenient. Walked most days. 1 mile to Earlham, 2 miles to Norwich. The location was perfect for our needs. Plenty of bedroom space, kitchen was clean and well appointed. Common living space is a little sparce, but we spent little time outside of sleeping, so not an issue in the least. 15 minutes by Uber to the airport. "Everything was excellent apart from one issue: payment at check-in. I had my card saved on Google Pay, so when it came to paying for my room, I expected there to be a card reader available. In my experience, 9 times out of 10 hotels have a card machine available for this, and this hotel did have card readers in the bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, the member of staff dealing with my check-in made it very clear that my situation was an inconvenience to her. Rather than offering the option of using a card reader, she made a rather snide comment along the lines of, “How am I supposed to take your payment?” She appeared to expect me to physically provide my card so that she could manually enter the card details into her computer. What made this more frustrating was that on a previous occasion, when staying at the hotel with a colleague, the hotel had simply sent my colleague a payment link, which was a quick and straightforward way of resolving the issue. I appreciate that there may be procedures around taking payment, but the way this was handled was unnecessary and left me feeling uncomfortable. There were clearly other options available, whether using a card reader or simply sending a payment link as had been done previously. It’s a shame, as everything else about the hotel was very good. This interaction unfortunately put a dampener on an otherwise positive experience."

"Just back from a great three day stay. The staff were wonderful (special shout out to Mike who couldn't do enough for us and the lovely ladies in the bar/restaurant) We stayed in one of the coach house rooms with our dog and the whole hotel is very dog friendly (including the breakfast sausage served every morning) Lovely new facilities with great bathrooms and showers. We really enjoyed the food here too (a bit let down by the Sunday roast we've seen so many excellent reviews on, so must have had a unusual experience as it was quite dry, like it had been under a eat lamp for a while) certainly wouldn't put us off coming back again though. We would highly recommend and the staff were some of the best we've come across on our travels. Great location, with only a short drive to some great dog friendly beaches, so with the September sunshine, we got lots of steps in."

"The hotel was pretty good it had everthing I needed and was clean and tidy enough. The room was a good size and had plenty of plug sockets which so really do not. The thing I liked the most was the pub/resturant . The food was fantastic quality and all home cooked. It was some of the best I have had when working away most weeks."
