Lovely hotel. Food was fine. Only negative was train line in the rear of the building. Bedrooms are too close and a bit noisy early doors. Ask for a front facing bedroom.

Brand new hotel. Lovely staff. Fantastic rooms & in room facilities.
I hope the prices don’t increase hugely once this becomes a more established location.

Very friendly staff, nice big room (called falow),
excellent breakfast, excellent evening meal staff very helpful sorting out a taxi for us, the room was warm due to heatwave so needed to keep windows open so we did notice some noise from the kitchen fans but this could not be helped. Very good car parking. Overall an excellent 2 day visit and would highly recommend.

Lovely little place. Very quite also. Wish the pub was open for drinks at any time but but not your typical pub. Food there was lovely though! Especially the sea bass.
Walk in shower was amazing! Great if you need an accessible rooms

This is a very nice place to stay and the Inn over the road is a great place to eat. The rooms and communal areas have been very tastefully decorated and it is very comfortable. Only one point, some of the rooms overlook a road which is surprisingly busy even in the middle of the night - not great if you are a light sleeper.

The hotel was lovely, the room gorgeous, and the staff delightful. There was an excellent choice at breakfast, and the food in the restaurant was divine.
We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back in the future.

This hotel was great, good customer service and friendly staff. The young boy sitting at night was very proactive and helped as much as he could.
Hotel was clean, good parking spaces, good sized room, nice bathrooms. Breakfast was good too.
Just a small suggestion, if a light could be put in the extra car park, as it’s a little dark at night.

Hotel room and location was perfect.
Really nice breakfast area overlooking a garden.
Only downside was my requests for a crib was twice ignored and even then I got a broken crib

Beautiful little hotel! The bedrooms, and indeed the whole place, was tasteful decorated with lots of lovely touches around & about. Michael, the owner, was very welcoming & helpful & went out of his way to make sure we were looked after, even arranging some takeout breakfast as we had to be up & out first thing.
The rooms were comfortable & stylish, I had an excellent nights sleep! I was just sorry we weren’t there a little longer to take advantage of the downstairs space & well stocked...

We travelled from Bournemouth to attend a family wedding and booked for 2 nights. The accommodation was first class and very spacious. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the restaurant. The service and attention shown by all the staff was to the highest standard and we have no negative comments/criticism to make, whatsoever. The hotel was very busy with other parties and a wedding but we were always treated as important guests in our own right. It would be a pleasure to stay there again....

The best area to stay in Wilpshire is the village centre, particularly around Whalley Road and the surrounding residential streets.
This area is the heart of Wilpshire, offering a pleasant and well-maintained environment. It's characterised by its traditional English village feel, with local shops, eateries, and good access to public transport. The main thoroughfare, Whalley Road, features a selection of independent businesses and leads directly to the larger town of Blackburn.
Couples looking for a relaxing break will appreciate the village centre. It provides a peaceful base with easy access to countryside walks, such as those leading towards the Ribble Valley. You'll find a selection of comfortable guesthouses and a few top pubs that serve quality food, great for an evening out without needing to travel far.
For families, the residential streets just off Whalley Road are an excellent choice. These areas are known for their established homes and green spaces, offering a quiet setting away from any main road bustle. You'll find accommodation options that cater to families, and the local parks provide space for children to play.
When is the best time to go to Wilpshire?
The best time to go to Wilpshire is typically during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally mildest and the days are longer.
During these months, you'll find the most pleasant conditions for exploring the local countryside and enjoying outdoor activities. The average temperatures are comfortable, making it ideal for walks along the Ribble Valley or visiting nearby historic sites.
For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, particularly hiking and cycling, July and August offer the warmest weather and maximum daylight hours. This is superb for tackling longer routes or exploring the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is easily accessible from Wilpshire.
If you prefer to avoid the busiest tourist periods but still want good weather, May, June, and September are excellent choices.
