"Friendly staff in this hotel, food excellent and varied. Lovely big bedroom, comfy beds with vintage furniture, bathroom could do with a bit of a makeover. Superb view looking over the river with the swans and ducks. No lift in the hotel so I did struggle with the stairs."

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...
