The hotel is well located for a break in the journey as it is very close to the A1/M although you can't hear the traffic. It would be good for exploring the local area including York and Harrogate and quite a bit cheaper than most hotels in the city centre. The rooms are well furnished, clean and comfortable and the hotel is dog friendly. The breakfast was lovely and the service is very good. At the price, it is very good value for money.

Stayed with my husband for our Wedding Anniversary and it was amazing. The Hotel knew this and left us a lovely note and some chocolates in our room for when we arrived, what a lovely surprise. We went to the Spa for a swim and sauna, we almost fell asleep on the beds we were so relaxed.

A near perfect stay at Delta hotels. The food, staff and pool were perfect. The only minus was the room’s bathroom which desperately needs an upgrade. Otherwise a great hotel next to the racecourse with a beautiful walk down the river into York. Would definitely come back.

First off, Sue (the owner) is just the best! I phoned in advance and asked a couple of favours of her, to put a couple of gifts in the room to surprise my girlfriend. Not only did she do it but she did it for less than budget! (If you do ask something of her like this, it's only fair to reward the wonderful lady with a gift of her own. OK?! Haha!)

This time our room was in the main hall - we had a spacious room which was pleasantly warm, beautifully furnished including a four poster bed. The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower and full bath and was spotlessly clean. Staff our friendly and professional. Breakfast was included and was tasty and plentiful. Will definitely stay again.
