5/5 Excellent
"Set in the open countryside the hotel has a fantastic vista. We stayed for just one night for a special celebration and we were made most welcome.
On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to hear we had been given a bedroom upgrade free of charge. It was an amazing room. Whilst it was located in the 18th-century manor it was clean, beautifully decorated and had all the modern facilities. The room was spatial and the bed/chairs were very comfortable. The owners even provided a couple of books for us to read during our stay and were free to take away!
We had evening dinner with a premeal drink in the bar area. The tables were well spaced; the food was excellent and the staff were both helpful and made you feel special.
My partner used the spa and had we been staying longer, I would have used both the pool and the gym. Only time prevented this. Parking was immediately in front of the hotel.
Whilst the one night's stay was expensive, we had a great time and look forward to a return visit at some time in the future."
