"Breakfast had a fairly good range, although no yoghurt on both days and no pastries on the second. The room was clean, however there were hairs on the bath room floor, which went on to the floor mat. There were no coffee cups in the room, I did request these, but had to go and get from the restaurant a few hours later. Ac could not be switched on below 19•c it got very warm in the room, the window had security locks, so we’re unable to get enough of a breeze. The food was lovely, a good choice of evening meals. "

"We stayed at the apartment for four nights while visiting family in the area and had a great experience. The apartment is spacious, very well equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There are two flights of stairs to access the apartment — this wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to bear in mind for guests with mobility considerations. That said, the beautiful sea views more than make up for it. Communication with the host was excellent throughout — very prompt and helpful. We also had several lovely, friendly encounters with people in the building, which added to the positive experience. The only small downside was storage: while there was plenty of hanging space and lots of hangers (which was brilliant), there were only a couple of small drawers in the bedside tables. A bit more drawer space would have been helpful. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and a place we would happily recommend and come back to. "

"This place is not well maintained or as described. We could not get the boiler running without letting water splurt everywhere in order to refill it. One of the mattresses has a massive rip in it and doesn't look clean. There were not enough plates for nine guests to eat off and only four or five forks. The door handle to the toilet was broken, we repaired it the best we could so it is in better shape than when we left. The top oven has the inner glass missing which is not safe and the bottom oven does not shut. Neither ovens work. One of the wardrobes was broken at the bottom and the bottom of the shower is not sealed and looks about to break. We asked for a refund but the owner said her apology was enough and refused."

"The cottage was beautiful, well equipped, comfy, cosy, well situated and an absolute gem! Go no further than Frinton Escapes! My first time and the cottage was ideal. Close to ALL amenities in a close, so quiet but everything on its doorstep. Great history behind it too. If you do t go, you will be the loser! "
